My 2015 so far
I hate it when my blog looks really sad and dull, so I decided to blog about events that happened during the first two months of the year while I'm still too lazy to prepare for my 4 PM class. January and February were actually v eventful. Aside from my eldest sister getting married last week and me finally saying goodbye to my teenage years, A LOT has happened and I don't know how I'm going to be able to blog about all of them?? ? I figured it will be a lot of work if I'll blog about them in separate posts (and you know me, I don't want a lot of work) so I'm just going to blog about all of them in bullets, like the true tumblr blogger that I am (haha):
Aya turned 21 last January and I gave her a really cute pair of socks as a present. Back story: I actually bought the socks last Christmas originally for my brother, but I couldn't bring myself to give it to him because I was too shy. I was broke af on my sister's birthday so I just decided to recycle the pair of socks and give it to her as a present. I had no plans of telling her that it was originally a Christmas present for our brother and everything was going well until our mother blurted out, "Wooh 'yan yung binili mo para kay Arvin nung pasko eh." which was v annoying. Anyway, we had dinner at Movie Stars Cafe and it was real fun. The place was nice and there were little plays and musicals every twenty minutes re-enacting films like Lion King, Spiderman etc. I was having fun watching until Spiderman decided to ruin the whole thing for me when he went to our table and suddenly grabbed my hand and literally force me to go to the stage with him and dance with the rest of the characters ??? ? I was shouting "Ayokooooooo" the whole time while I was holding on our table for my dear life and dignity, but my family also kept pushing me away from our table and Spiderman was v strong so he successfully managed to drag me to the stage to make a fool of myself. What made it worse is almost every person in the restaurant was filming the whole thing with their phones. It was a two-minute nightmare for me and my armpits were all sweaty when I got off the stage because of the embarrassment. Anyway, Aya obviously had fun watching me ""dance"" on stage. So I guess I'm already forgiven for giving her a recycled pair of socks for her birthday.
It was our midterm week during the second week of January and I pretty much fucked up every exam I took. I've grown even more apathetic with my acads this semester because none of the courses I'm enrolled in interests me. I've seriously had enough of minor courses like Theology and Spanish and Statistics. I hate spending time on stuff that serve no real purpose to me. And my major courses are no good, too. I have Investigave Journalism this semester and I had to write a 3,000 word report on Anti-Fencing Law [[what the fuck is that intensifies]] I researched, found sources and took pictures in Recto during the morning and then wrote and made a layout for the ""report"" the night before the deadline. I managed to pass a midterm paper that is so badly-written that I can't even get myself to re-read it first before printing.
Two weeks before my sister's wedding, her friends planned a surprise bridal shower for her. It was my first time attending an adult event like that and it was basically full of alcohol, penises, food, naughty games, and more penises. There was a stripper and he has such a huge dick??? I never thought a penis could be that big?? I've never watched porn so I'm probably one of the most ignorant people in the penis department. Anyway, he danced to the tune of Sam Smith's Stay With Me which I love but now I can't listen to it without remembering the stripper's show during the party. I was also forced to participate on a game where we have to blow condoms like balloons. I don't know if the condom I got has a hole on it or something but it wouldn't inflate no matter how hard I blow it??? Haha, that sounded wrong. Attending my sister's bridal party also made me think of my own in the future. My sister has a lot of friends. There were already 20+ attendees but there were still a lot of people who were invited but didn't attend. Not to mention her friends from the office weren't there because they planned a separate party for her. Meanwhile, I have 10 friends from highschool (more than half of them are boys) and 4 college girl friends hahaha my future bridal shower looks v fun.
Aya and I also attended Indie Na Bakasyon gig at Route 196 last January. We were with Clarence (@thebribery), who I call Bribe in person, Noelle and some of my sister's blockmates. We were late and we missed two performances already when we got there but I got to see Ebe Dancel perform live for the first time, and ah it was glorious. My favorites Pastilan Dong and Ourselves The Elves were also there, and I also got to watch a lot of good bands that I haven't heard of before. I also met a lot of people who I only know on the internet that night. In a nutshell, the whole night was basically just good live music and me exclaiming "Uy si [insert twitter username here] oh!!!" to my sister every time I see a familiar face.
Summary: 2015's good so far, and I'm running late for school!!! byeeeee
