May I please have some artist!Issac/barista!Stiles? ❤️
I do try ahaha. I just let this write itself. My writer’s block is over woo.
“That will be..” Stiles tapped a few keys on the cash register after hearing the order without looking up, “$5.00 please.” He rubbed at his eyes and yawned a little, realising he shouldn’t have stayed up playing Silent Hill the night before.
That caused Stiles to jump and look up with wide eyes, taking in the beautiful man before him. Large blue eyes and soft curly hair, streaked with blue paint. Another line of paint along his cheekbone and some red on his palms.
"What?" Stiles said right back, completely awestruck.
"Er, what’s the cheapest thing here?" The man ran his fingers through his hair, coating it with red as he blinked at Stiles, a light flush colouring his cheeks. He was probably in a rush or something.
"Water." Stiles deadpanned, lips twitching up a little. "$1.00."
"Fuck." The man covered his mouth in shock. "Sorry," He squinted at Stiles’s name tag then frowned a little as his gaze met Stiles’s.
Stiles’s breath hitched at the way his name rolled off the man’s tongue. “It’s not my real name but it’s better. And you are?” He said after a beat too long.
"Oh - er - I - Isaac." The man stuttered, their gazes still locked.
"Nice to meet you." A grin stretched easily across his face. "So, water?" He chuckled a little.
Isaac nibbled at his bottom lip and maybe Stiles stared a little too long. “Er, maybe just the strongest thing you have.” He laughed a little to himself.
Stiles nodded with an easy smile. “$4.75 then.” He took the five Isaac handed over, gulping when their fingers brushed. Isaac had really nice fingers. Long and deceivingly delicate and co - ordinated.
He handed over the change, making sure they hands made no contact before he turned to make the coffee, sneaking in an extra espresso shot and adding a special ingredient of his own making. He felt eyes on him and shivered a little as he put the lid on the drink and turned to hand it over.
"No problem." He did a mock salute that made Isaac’s eyes completely light up on a beautiful smile that took Stiles’s breath away. He was fucked.
Isaac soon became a regular and Stiles anticipated his arrival every day. He wasn’t obsessed. He didn’t notice the different coloured paints he was covered with each day. He didn’t imagine licking the streak of orange just above his lip on one occasion.
"What’s going on?" Scott asked when Stiles walked in on time again. It wasn’t unusual. He’d been on time for the past month…since he first met Isaac.
Stiles just shrugged. “Nothing much. I swapped my gaming and wanking schedule around so I have more time to get into work on time.”
"Too much information." Scott wrinkled his nose, gripping the broom in his hands even tighter and sweeping a little faster.
"You met someone. A customer." Scott’s eyes widened. "The curly haired one." Then a smile crept unto his lips. "He’s cute."
Stiles mouth twitched downwards.”He’s mine.” He snapped, storming off, leaving his best friend with a wide grin on his face.
Stiles waited all day but Isaac didn’t come. He even stayed past his shift to help Scott and Allison tidy up the coffee shop at the end of the day.
It was when he was locking up that he felt a tap on his shoulder and turned to see Isaac smiling down at him.
"I - Can I show you something?"
"Sure?" Stiles was lost in Isaac’s eyes, the moon’s light reflecting off them and sharp cut of his cheekbones, the pout of his lips. Stiles chucked the keys at Scott and waved at him, surprised when Isaac grabbed his hand and tugged him along.
"You painted me?" Stiles couldn’t help the way his voice squeaked as he stood in the middle of the art room in Isaac’s apartment.
"Yeah…" Isaac trailed off and Stiles tugged on his shirt and kissed him hard on the mouth.
"It’s beautiful." He said when he pulled back a little, his breath mingling with Isaac’s.
"You like it." Isaac sounded disbelieving.
"Of fucking course I do." He wrapped his arms around Isaac’s neck and reining him in again.
