Back in 2014, I fell in love with a British girl named Mana. One thing led to another, and we decided to get married here in Denmark — my home country.
Going through the process ourselves, we quickly realized how confusing and stressful it can be. The paperwork, the rules, the waiting — especially when you're an international couple trying to figure it all out on your own.
We made it through, and that experience changed everything for us. We thought: what if we could make this easier for other couples? So we started Getting Married in Denmark.
What began as a small passion project has grown into a team from 11 different countries across 3 continents. Every single person on our team knows what it's like to be in an international relationship. We've lived it. We get it.
