I know this has been said a lot but it’s still so sad that Danny’s entire secret identity is built around keeping him safe from his family instead of the usual superhero secret identity trope where the hero is trying to keep their family safe from the villains. Like, all of Danny’s enemies know his secret identity. He has to keep it a secret from his family to protect himself from them. It’s such a twist and it’s so sad

Even if you take the few episodes where they DO learn about his ghost half & accept him…he still chooses to keep it a secret to protect them from the guilt….which is still pretty sad
