I desperately need to know how tommy and dream ended up as techno's cats

They're both feral cats Techno rescued.

He found Dream trapped in some sort of pit during a hike when he heard yowling nearby. He looked. Very bad. Very very bad. Techno rushed him to a pet hospital and they weren't sure he was going to survive the night. He's still dealing with a ton of health issues from his time in that pit, and sometimes he has some pretty scary episodes, but overall he's getting better now.

I wonder how he got trapped in there. Probably unrelated, there were two other feral cats near the pit when Techno found Dream, who he had to kick away when they tried to attack Dream.

Tommy was also a feral cat, he would walts into Techno's porch and scream at him until he gave him part of his food. Techno couldn't enjoy a singular grilled cheese or hot chocolate in peace. One day he followed Techno inside while he was putting the dishes away, screaming the whole time for more snacks, and Techno simply closed the door behind him and didn't let him back out. If the cat is going to demand food like this he might as well be his then.

#the pit was horrible #it was filled with bones and waste #Techno could just barely see Dream was alive when he went down there #the vets told him Dream might have tried to claw his way out from how his nails look #he was also severely starved #it was not pretty at all #it took all the power of modern medicine and a few miracles for Dream to survive and get better #the voices #also you would not want to see the zoomies Tommy had when he got trapped in Techno's house #Techno was just standing there with Dream in his arms watching a blond hurricane go though his house

Dream is also chill. He is extremely ouchy all over but this is normal for him. He doesn't know why everyone is so stressed. Techno seems like he's going to cry tho and Dream is more worried about that

Tommy however. Is a little creature. A little beast. Look! He's not scared at all! He's good and brave and deserves the pats and attention!! He can also deal with being in situations like Dream is!!!

(The only reason Tommy is so chill it's because Dream doesn't seem worried at all. In fact, the way Techno found out Dream hadn't touched his food in two days was because Tommy started screaming and biting at his socks to tattle on Dream. But now they're at the "get Dream better" place, and Dream isn't scared, so Tommy can focus on the more important things in life, like showing how awesome and better then Dream he is)

#the voices

Dream and Tommy are Techno's cats, and Tommy won't let him take or give Dream anything and not also give it to Tommy. He had to buy sugar pills to hide in Tommy's food or he would try to steal Dream's medicine.

The vets have to pick up and set down Tommy like 5 times so he feels like he's been handled. He's very smug about it. Dream is having a medical emergency
