Rat Love

Im a long time rat lover! Being a rat Mom or Dad is not for the faint of heart. You love them and they love you, but you only have them for a short time. But what a wonderful time it is. I am also loved by;- A dog named Lilly-A Ferret named OliverI was loved by:-A rat named Willow-A dog named Bella-A bird named Clippy -And a snake named slither-A rat named Jasper-A rat named Reese-A rat named Neko-A rat named Pip-A rat named Tucker - trouble -Dale --domino -Roo RIP My loves :(I believe that if you don't/can't love your animal right, let someone who can, love them. And love means a lot of things. It means vet bills, shots, good quality food, and time. Lots and lots of time, if you don't have time in your day to spend enough time to make sure your pet has the exercise and love it needs, EVERYDAY, then maybe you should rethink this.

My dog Lilly has an infection in her uterus that needs emergency surgery, I've been quoted by the vet that it'll cost $3000. I recently lost my job and my house (at the beginning of May). Lilly is my world and I'll do anything for her, I'm selling my possessions but it isn't going to get me the money she needs, I'm also job hunting like crazy, I'll take anything. It’s been a long time since I’ve been active on tumblr, and I hate that this is how I return but I really need help. At the beginning of the month I miscarried at 17 weeks, after I miscarried my body continued to bleed extremely and it has not stopped. I’ve been in and out of the hospital for the past few weeks. With the emergency visits and different medications, I’ve run my bank account dry. My employment insurance has run its self dry since I lost my job due to downsizing in November. I have no one to turn to for financial help.

Saw a super cute rat at petsmart today, pretty sure he was blind... Though he could've been super confident too. He was standing up really sniffing me out but if I flicked my fingers or made any fast movement he did noting, he didn't even look! Not until I tapped the glass did he look at me head on. I want him SO BAD. But then I would have to get him a friend, and we all know how this goes! Haha... I miss having rats but I would never have them at the same time as ferrets. My kids will have rats one day though.

As some of you know, I’m now ratless. I have been since (Canadian) thanksgiving. I haven’t been ready to admit it, because now I have a big hole in my life where they used to be, and posting it here makes it real.

I will not be getting more. I love rats, I do. But it hurts too much to love them...
