Little known fact: All Rygos characters share exactly one brain cell. They all have joint custody, except for Ken who did not show up to court, on the count of the fact he does not know what a court of law is.
Watching Lars and the Real Girl is and realizing I am just Lars was a harrowing experience.
He does the same stims as me, why the fuck does he do that?! We have the same smile?!?
Broke: Grace spending too much time around Simon that he eventually starts swearing properly.
Woke: Simon starts spending too much time around Grace that he starts swearing like him and then gets frustrated. It’s like he’s in the good place where he can’t actually swear now and he gets so frustrated he is like “YOU DID THIS TO ME!”
You know how Grace has the gag that his glasses are always falling off his face or slipping down his nose?
Bloodymary swap Au idea: Simon’s hair is constantly falling out of its bun. He’s constantly tying up his hair but it’s always somehow finds its way back in his face.
I enjoy seeing Simon’s hair get longer and longer in every piece of fanart I see. Amazing stuff. But now I want to see Bloodymary like this:
I like The Fall Guy as much as the next guy but I will never forgive the writers for not letting Colt be actually disabled after his fall.
This man fell twelve stories and the worst he gets is some implied back pain? His fall happened less than a two years ago, he should be in physical therapy!!
Like, I get it, it’s an action movie, they want the main guy to do action and it’s a little hard to do cool stunts in a wheel chair. But they seriously couldn’t give us anything? Not a limp, not a crutch, not even just a scene where he’s asked to do a stunt he used to be able to do and he can’t anymore. Just something to show that his injury had more importance than just set dressing.
With how the movie stands, literally anything could have driven Colt away from stunt doubling and it wouldn’t change the movie much.
Does Neil Armstrong get to be part of the RGCU? Genuine question.
I love book Grace so much.
Like, yeah he wakes up in a room with various tubes all connected to him, a freaky robot arm grabbing at him, two corpses and no clue what his name is or where he is but he’s still going to take like ten minutes to gawk at how RIPPED he is. He will not shut up about his abs in this very distressing situation and I love that for him.
Semi-related to my last post but…
So, Colt and Ryland aren’t related. Just two guys who met, became close-ish friends in college and than drifted apart because they obviously took very different paths in life.
Now imagine, Ryland Grace has just nuked his science career. He half regrets it, he’s half relieved but either way he’s unemployed and there’s a non-zero amount of the world slandering his name. So, he goes on a bender or two. That’s how he meets Tom Ryder. He doesn’t know Tom Ryder before hand, not even as an actor. Why would he? Grace isn’t into action movies, nor is he really concerned with celebrities. Ryder’s talking all big about how he’s an actor but Grace lives in California for Pete’s sake, everyone’s an actor. They hook-up, Ryland is only slightly protruded by the fact Tom keeps calling him “Colt” in bed but he’s hot and Grace is drunk so who even cares?
At this point it’s been years since Colt and Ryland have actually spoken so he’s the furthest thing from his mind. He doesn’t connect the dots.
A few years later, Ryland’s cleaned up his act a long time ago, he’s a teacher now, he’s happier than ever. On a whim, Colt reaches out to Ryland again. They catch up and they both realize that Colt is working on a film that’s being shot only a few hours away from Ryland’s apartment. Awesome! Colt invites him to hang out on set.
On the phone Colt had complained a bunch about this one actor. He’s an asshole, pompous, arrogant, stupid. Every name in the book. Ryland thinks the name is vaguely familiar but he can’t place it, he chalks it up to it being a celebrity so obviously he’s just heard the name in conversation. Ryland gets to the set, Colt and him are cutting up, laughing, catching up. Until, Tom decides to barge into the conversation.
It takes a second for it to register in Ryland’s mind, he’s half way through saying “Do I know you from somewhere” before it clicks. And then several more things click. The ‘Colt’ Tom was moaning about all those years ago? Yeah, it was Colt Seavers.
It doesn’t take long for it to click for Tom either. He has to do a double take. It’s incredibly awkward for the both of them because Ryland KNOWS and Tom KNOWS HE KNOWS.
Colt’s just confused. He’d get it if Ryland was starstruck or something, Ryder’s famous even if he is a douche, but he’s never seen Ryder this worked up. He’s stammering and tripping over his own feet to get away. Ryland is simultaneously horrified and trying not to laugh, he’s too good a person to out Ryder though, so he can’t say anything.
Colt’s now confused because he’s certain Grace and Ryder have had to have met before but he can fathom where (he completely missed out on Rylands party phase and only remembers him as the bookish guy from school) or what Ryland could have done to make Tom so flustered around him. He would never guess that they’ve slept together, again he missed that phase of Grace’s life and, to Colt, Ryder seems like the most obnoxiously hetero guy around.
Is it funny to imagine a family tree entirely consisting of Ryan Gosling? Yes, absolutely. But I feel we are completely missing the equally funny (or possibly more so) option, that is NONE of these guys are related, they just all happen to know each other and look the exact same.
Colt and Ryland? Just two dudes who roomed together during college, drifted apart after Colt dropped out to focus on his stunt doubling career.
The Driver and Colt have obviously met on set before, the staff frequently confused the two for one another.
Court and The Driver have probably met before, they both do shady business, neither know the others name but The Driver has been Court’s get away driver once before.
Ryland does online tutoring on the side and has taught Claire before. Claire asks Court if he has a brother that’s a teacher, Court doesn’t know what she’s on about.
Ryland had a slight ‘bad boy’ phase after the ‘staggering waste of oxygen’ incident and he’s science career went off the deep end. The Driver was Ryland’s drug dealer for a VERY short amount of time. Ryland sent him a dealer ‘break-up’ text and thanked him for his time and effort. The Driver was actually kind of touched, you don’t often get thanks in his line of business.
If you asked, they’ll say they don’t see the resemblance.
No clue to what my Grandmother puts in her coffee punch, but I swear I drink one cup and I'm wired for days.
I'm not sensitive to caffeine or anything, I can drink a whole pot of coffee and take a nap afterwards. I had two cups today and I can still feel my pulse thumping in my ears.
Never forgetting that one teacher, when asked "Thot daughter or Gay son', just sighed real tiredly and responded with "Whatever makes them happier I suppose."
I forgot how tame House MD starts out in comparison to later seasons. I was rewatching some episodes from season 2 and was genuinely shocked that the coffee House brought Stacy wasn’t laced with anything.
The worst kind of dooming scrolling is the kind where nothing you’re scrolling past is actually negative or upsetting, but you’re still completely miserable anyway.
I love both Stanley and Ford equally but also in extremely different ways. Stan I want only nice things for. Ford I would like to shove into a puddle and laugh at him.
Hazbin Hotel pisses me off because it has all the best ideas and they do them all in the most boring way possible.
