I recently received two rats because their previous owner left them behind, and now I take care of them. This is my first experience with rats, and I'm planning on using my commission earnings for a more suitable and bigger cage and eventually a 3rd rat. :]

They're very sweet and love banana, soon they will get to try strawberries for the first time!

They were rarely handled previously so I'm working on them getting more comfortable with leaving the cage and getting picked up currently.

Most of the photos are of Biggie because she's the only one who stands still for a photo because she's waiting for a treat. My photo quality is also always super shoddy because I buy cheapo phones lol. I've gotten her very excited to jump out of the cage on my lap for treats, and salamander is starting to see and learn that behavior too! She's very brave!! She's very nervous about any handling but she keeps coming back because she's so curious and her love of treats. I love Biggie's tiny teeny speck of white on her forehead <3 The last img is my favourite picture of her so far, she is eating a tiny piece of banana. :]

(she is in hospital right now, which is why she is in this small and bleak cage. her healing is going very, very well and once her final incision closes, she can get back with her cagemates!)

Oh gods. Every video or picture of rats online i see is a real rat. There are or were real rats corresponding to them somewhere out there. Oh. Oh boy. Oh goodness. So many. So many loved rats that someone took a camera to because they love them. Oh. I am...oh boy. So many. So many babies.
