Hanahaki Disease : Villanelle and Eve

“a fictional disease in which the victim coughs up flower petals when they suffer from one-sided love. It ends when the beloved returns their feelings (romantic love only; strong friendship is not enough), or when the victim dies.“

A series of portraits focused on the symbolism of flowers and the relevance in strong relationships in television shows and movies.

Villanelle and Eve Polastri: the main couple from the show “Killing Eve”. In the show we see the characters fight, maim, manipulate and refuse to accept the feelings of one another for nearly three entire seasons. The hanahaki represents these pent up frustrations at one another and how only with acceptance they can be at peace.
