I haven't posted in months but here's me lately. Not having hair suits me.
British sci-fi and fantasy artist, Bruce Pennington.
I just watched the Amazon movie, Beautiful Boy...
And it hit me very hard. The title drew me in because that is something I used to call my dear friend who died from heroin overdose two years ago... But the synopsis prevented me from watching it for a long time. It's about an eighteen year old boy's descent into meth and heroin addiction and the people who loved him.
After losing James to heroin and now watching my father become lost to meth, I knew this was going to tear open some wounds I had tried way too hard to (pretend to) mend. Maybe I shouldnt have watched it, but it did make me a little more aware of what is really inside me. I'm not sure what to do about it yet but it has sparked a need to write and a desire to analyze that is probably important.
Here are a couple of thoughts that i had to get out after confronting a lot of feelings I have tried so hard to repress... Followed by a brief connection with the title of the movie that makes it seem more than coincidental...
