Was gonna hop on here and do things for Alexander’s birthday, but this fandom has an amazing way of making something you love into...well.. shit.

So y’all can probably consider this an extended hiatus while I try to decide what I’m going to with Alexander.

Man, “turning over a new leaf” only works if the leaf is somehow different.

Anyway, I want to go into the New Year feeling good about things that are here for fun. I no longer feel that about the HamFam at all. I was warned in the very beginning about the pit that this fandom was, and I’m finally seeing it in all its glory.

The majority of this fandom is, sadly, just nasty.

And I no longer want to be a part of it.

So. I’m going to be rebooting Alexander. I will only be following a handful of people on him. I won’t be promoing him anywhere once he’s rebooted.

I’m done with nasty people and nasty attitudes.

Going into 2017, I’m surrounding myself with nothing but positivity.

If there is one thing that Alexander wants, it is for his children to be happy. For the most part, he believes they are. Though he believes that is, in large part, due to his incredible wife, he hopes he has had some sway on them. Despite all of his mistakes, he loves his family.

That is what brings him to AJ’s room. Again. Disciplining them is one of his least favorite things to do. He would far prefer being fun Dad, but AJ continues to sneak out. It’s driving him a little bit crazy, if he’s honest. Alexander knows that his namesake is a good kid, he is just stubborn. Bullheaded and too smart for his own good. It has to be reeled in somehow, he’s just not sure how.

“Since grounding you has had no effect whatsoever, we’re going to try a little manual labor. By a little? I mean a whole hell of a lot. Get your shoes on.”

I know I said I wasn’t going to address anymore of these, but I think I need to address this one.

Let me be real clear. I never took anyone’s side in this mess. I didn’t pick one side over the other. I didn’t particularly want to be in the middle of it, as I saw it as a situation these guys needed to work out for themselves. It only became an issue for me when I was vagued about. Then I had something to say.

That something was that both sides needed to own their parts in it and deal with it.

I never walked away from anyone.

I never ended any friendships.

I never hated anyone (I don’t hate people, that’s not my way).

Did I say that if they felt they needed to walk away, that’s what they needed to do? Yes. Because, again, I do not beg people to stay in my life. They made that choice. People chose to dip out on me, not the other way around. If that makes them feel better about their situation, then that’s what they need to do for themselves.

But I will not repeatedly be told I need to apologize.

I was basically shit on. By more than one person.

If you have anything else to say on the matter, say it to them, because I’m done talking about this.
