The fact people will still use AI after knowing how much water is used up everyday to cool down their cooling centers and after seeing articles with scientists stating that the heat waves in Europe wouldn’t be possible without human intervention

Like sure, it’s hard for everyone to understand big numbers until they’re explained

Many people still think that a billion dollars or euros isn’t that big as it’s said to be until they see how many things they can buy with it or how long would it take to spend it

So let me visualize for y’all how much water is actually used

Let’s say that it’s about 1.3 million liters (300 000 gallons) which is actually said to be about the smallest amount used by typical facilities (for large scale AI factories it’s said to be about like 5 million gallons so about 19 million liters)

That’s daily

And for comparison, a person should drink about 2 liters of water a day.

Now do basic maths.

It would take one person at least 1781 years to drink the amount of water that is used daily on AI

But sure, world’s first trillionaire is the most important thing to talk about!

It’s not like if that keeps on going, global warming will be in about 3 years irreversible.
