I headcanon Aven to have naturally 3b or 3c hair and that he straightens it to look "more presentable for the job" (according to himself)

He probably has grown to resent his type of hair at least a little because of how easily it gets tangled, and how hard it is to handle in general, and that it doesn't look as good when straightened as natural straight hair but he still prefers that to mendling and fighting with it every morning

This has resulted in a lot of damage to his hair tho, so when Veritas noticed how bad it is he started to help Aven take better care of it, and how much Veritas just loves Aven's hair starts rubbing in the blond too and gave him some will to listen to Ratio's suggestions

It took a few years, but after some time Aven would finally be able to have a healthy hair and good relationship with it 🥹

I actually made this animatic last summer, but was too embarrassed about it and eventually forgot it completely. I have a lot of problems with this one, with the style feeling off, very choppy pacing, poor subtitles, bad handwriting, etc. But I figured I may as well throw it out here. I'm not sure if anyone would really like it

The song just sort of reminded me of them. So I sincerely apologize for any mistranslations or ooc portrayal. This thing is practically scrapped to me haha

I made this before this animatic. You can consider them connected in a way, with 'Nauseous' being Aventurine's POV and 'Paninindigan Kita'/'Stand by You' being Ratio's POV. And as an FYI, while this is lighter, I do enjoy some angst on Ratio's side too.

Yes, I got too lazy to do anything with the ending. Just imagine them growing old together

I saw this mentioned on a tweet but can we talk about the parallelism between the way Aven hides his hand behind his back when he is afraid/nerveous and how it contrasts so well with Ratio putting his own hand behind his back essentially when he is confident about something???

Is the same action, yet it still represents different things. For Aventurine is a way to hide any tale of weakness while for Ratio is an expression of how he naturally keeps being calm and collected even in tense situations.

I could also turn that statement around and say that for Aventurine is his great attempt to keep himself collected and hide his weakness away from the world's prying eyes, while for Ratio is the genuine lack of fragility and ineptitude.

And in any way you may want to express it still leads to the same conclusion:

Wich is to show the way Aventurine always has (and/or feels) the need to hide and scheme to make sure he has the upper hand, while Ratio can always remain truth to himself as most his actions are and have always been a reflection of his personality, both with the same habit.

They are very different on their cores and come from very different places, yet they are prove of how different attitudes, personality and background can still manifest on the same (or fairly similar) manner.

And, they might be similar on a superficial level (to a degree, at least), but when they look deep into the other's soul they find a completely different person to themselves, and yet complements them so well, and I think that sole fact grants them comfort.

They mirror each other so perfectly in a very weird dare I say unconventional way and I find it beautiful.
