<3 happy Valentine’s Day (forgive my tardiness, philosophy is kicking my ass by giving me more work in 2 weeks then I’ve had in any other class over 2 semesters)

I have a personal preference for the original bc of the accents (the remake sounds so American??? Idk. Limite, montréalais anglophone, which screws with the whole Canadian miner town vibe) but also bc I remember who’s who with greater ease

However, the twist in the remake was more surprising bc you feel lied to? Like you watch the whole thing rooting for one guy only to be betrayed 👍 love it. (This isn’t to say that the twist in the original wasn’t good - bc it was excellent, but the remake interpreted it better, I fear)
