In celebration of Chapter 5's release along with gaster's twitter takeover, enjoy this stunning commission art oomf drew for me a while back!

Their explanation of this piece is a must-read.

① The composition references both nested social media screenshots and an endlessly extending hallway.

② The transmission tower in the background symbolizes cables, the Internet, and the invisible connections that link us together.

③ The black streaks reference a cracked LCD screen with ink-like bleeding. They also resemble the mystery_man sprite. The black censorship over the profile, username, and comments leaves their contents open to interpretation.

④ The red censorship along the top represents us, the Player. The blinking text cursor in the input box anchors the piece in the present moment — right now, there's the intention to type.

⑤ Layered screenshots visually evoke the image of a rabbit hole. Countless players discuss, analyze, and build upon one another’s theories. Every path, directly or indirectly, seems to circle back to Gaster. Until Deltarune is complete, there’s no way of knowing how deep the rabbit hole truly goes.

⑥ Even so, somewhere in the distance, we can all sense that door—that barrier separating us.

We don’t know how much farther we have to go, or how long we’ll be searching. And yet, somewhere deep inside, we continue to believe that there is an answer waiting for us. That one day, we’ll reach it.
