I've been writing a book since about September, it's thrilling and 14 year old me would have been proud.
"are you okay?" NO i've been the same height since i was 14
I want to get officially diagnosed with female hysteria, this college shit is not panning out
the online popularity of classic wizards is indicative of society finally beginning to heal n recover from the Harry Potter's influence
You are always running. Good. Go faster. It’s behind you.
Hey. You ok honey?
We can talk or I can just read you if that's what you need.
Oh I'm alright! Just feeling bizarrely old today! I'm only 18 but it's kind of insane, I was just a baby when I created this and now it's like 5 years and I'm in college instead of middle school, etc etc. Every so often I remember I have this blog that so many people follow and I'm like wow! what a creative kid I was! how bizarre!
This blog was a pet project of mine when I was like 13. Really bizarre to be a whole ass adult now, and to not even care so much about Harry Potter, much less my house. Very cool to have this though!
Anyways if you're over the age of like 16 and still care about hogwarts houses beyond like, I'm this house lol, then I'm probably not the person for you anymore. But that's okay! I'm glad you Consumed My Content back when my whole life surrounded this series.
I'd like to preface, as mod of this account that went inactive a long time ago, that JK Rowling is transphobic and antisemitic, and I don't support her. I highly recommend not supporting her and her work, not giving her any money, etc. And when engaging with Harry Potter itself, it should be consumed critically and thoughtfully. This is all stuff said before, it's nothing new from me, but it's important to me if people are going to continue engaging with this page.
I've been thinking about this a little recently, and I think the best way to engage with Harry Potter as a work is still critically, but also in a way that doesn't give JKR profit as a whole--rereading books you own, refusing to see new movies, consuming fanfiction in fandom spaces. It's easy looking back to know that like, her portrayal of Rita Skeeter was transphobic, or the goblins was antisemitic, but most people first read this series as a little kid, so there naturally is a nostalgia/fondness people have for it. I don't think people are awful for loving Harry Potter still, but doing it in a way that discusses the books and movies' flaws, that doesn't support the author, is important.
Hot drinks always felt like something the Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs had in common, while I imagine coffee would be popular amongst the other houses too, everything else, such as teas or hot chocolates, feels more distinctly like it belongs to those two in particular

Hello! I've asked for a Kindle for my birthday which is in May, do you have any book recommendations? I don't know what I'll read first! My plan over the long months of summer is to take my Kindle out to the forests by my house and read for hours sat amongst the bluebells like a little Ravenclaw. I'm asking a lot of Ravenclaws for book advice haha! :)
might just revive this account, but I'd say Salvage the Bones by Jesmyn Ward and There, There by Tommy Orange are both excellent
