Get baking soda (99 cents at walmart). Take baking soda & put a few spoonfuls in small bowl (or cup or whatever). Add a few spoonfuls of water to turn into a paste. Smear paste on bug bite or sunburn.

Alternatively, add a lot more water (warm) and soak a hand towel in it, then place on bug bite or sunburn.

Should stop itching and swelling should go down relatively fast (and you won't deal with it for a long time either. great for sensitive skin or allergy reactions)

Put it in a ziplock bag or cover with cling wrap and it'll keep for a good while

Tugger is essentially the cat who will find the one person who doesn't like cats & decide they're his new best friend. He is a very affectionate, needy cat.

Misto, on the other hand, is that kind of almost-snobby cat who everyone at a party wants to pet but who disappears immediately and only very occasionally graces the people with his presence for a scant few seconds. After all, a cat of such high caliber must be admired.

So it is in fact TUGGER who is the "poor little baby who needs help" and MISTO is the who lets him face the consequences of his actions (he helps eventually. after letting him get even more stuck in the problem)

I love Centaurworld but it drives me CRAZY when people go “Oh yeah Elktaur’s human version ruined it all” because NO! THEY ARE LEGIT THE SAME FELLA! THAT IS THE POINT OF HIS CHARACTER! If the half that became the deer was the half that became human then nothing would’ve changed because they’re literally the same person, just with different forms and opportunities. The point is he would never be happy because he don’t love both sides of himself, and making it so that one side is evil and one side is good kind of endorses his flawed point. Nobody forced the deer to become the Nowhere King, and he STILL became a genocidal maniac. They both bad. Should’ve just stayed as a silly centaur and have fucked up deer kids with the Princess

This!! Like, this isn't Steven Universe fusion! Elktaur split in half is still Elktaur, just in two places at once. That's the whole reason he did it in the in-between, bc physics and time and physical matter is different there.

He was entirely willing to do what he deemed necessary even before splitting in two! Or did everyone forget the highly dubious experiment on the rutabaga-taur? What if it hadn't worked? He was fully willing to kill or mutate a sentient to see "if he could."

Is he a sympathetic character? Yes. Do we all see so much potential there, the could-have-beens? Absolutely! But in the end, he (both of him, all three of him) was willing to do terrible things to achieve his goal. And he knew that. Knew the cost, and knew he couldn't go back and change it.

In both finales, s1 & s2, the nowhere king is fully accepting of death. It's only after seeing the full scale of destruction, the full scale of the lies, the obsession, that the Woman can actually bring herself to end it. To reunite what was once shattered, now whole, through the final door.

Elktaur is a tragic character because we know that if he'd just figured out how to love himself how he was, then all of this sadness and war and pain wouldn't have happened. But he couldn't. And the ending he got was the one the narrative (and he as himself) deserved.

saw a lot of discourse on other socials because chappell roan posted a few tiktoks about how she doesn’t like that people feel entitled to meet her when they encounter her in public and are rude when she declines. some people are defending her stance while others are saying they totally understand why people are angry or hurt when she doesnt want to meet them as its a major chance encounter for them. curious what yall think!!

I took my mother to go see the broadway tour in Portland OR, 2022. I'd seen the 1998 movie, while she had only heard Memories before. I kept leaning over and whispering character trivia/lore to her during songs, bc adhd hyperfixation demanded it! XD

The costumes and makeup were stunning, the dancing was incredible (the Mungojerrie and Rumpleteaser cartwheel was crazy!) and the singing was absolutely beautiful!!!

She left loving it and trying to explain it to my dad, who isn't big into musicals (or cats) XD

I saw a post talking about a Beetlejuice slime tutorial and had a momentary thought that from an outside perspective, someone outside the know or who's just starting their adventure, they'd likely think this a literal slime asmr video or something.

But to those of us who have been in theatre for a long time, the phrase "slime tutorial" has an entirely different meaning.

It's fascinating and wonderful from a linguistics point of view. A desire to share and view things together has created an entire lexicon.

So yeah, I think in the inner logic of TCW Rex is supposed to be naturally blond. Not that it makes much sense.

In a large, nearly overflowing cardboard box are Stories people have told, Secrets and Dreams and Fears. Some are apple-scented. Some are furry-edged. Some are flickering embers. Each one contains a soul shared at that moment in time. There are too many for me to keep. At least this way they wont just sit there, piling up and collecting dust like metaphysical jenga blocks.

In return, I want more space to put future Stories. I still like to collect them, even if some of them are a bit too big to carry. A soul picks up a lot of weight, existing and growing and changing. Like a sponge.

I have made a discovery about the woodpecker couple that annually tries to drill through my roof. They in fact run the local pest control and are eating a very large nest of paper wasps that I had no clue formed a massive hive along the underside of the roof.
