Not Now, Not Ever

"Ugh.." 

She closed her eyes and covered them with one hand. It was either she's too tired of reading or it was just her previous ailment finally catching up with her again. Both are not good signs. The thing is, she never told anyone about her near death encounters when her heart would hurt like a spike was being driven into her chest with her ears ringing and her body collapsing in unbearable pain. 

She waited for a moment before standing up. Half-dreading whether or not her chest would hurt. The short stop of seconds seemed to be minutes to her and it was already killing her to know if its another attack. 

"Please.. please.. not now.. not ever."

She could only wish, hoping it wouldn't fall on deaf ears.
