It had been a few months since Kathe had been in Piltover, but it seemed the city was as busy as ever. As she departed the airship, she was soon once again part of the ever flowing river that was the main thoroughfare. Honestly, did these people every stop moving to appreciate what was around them? What was the point of such gaudy buildings if nobody ever stopped to look up at them once in a while?
She hurried along to avoid getting trampled, eventually finding herself at the hospital she knew so well. How long had it been now, since she had finally been released? The Freljordian glanced down at her arm, watching the metal glint in the sunlight, and she smiled. To think that she was even standing here now.
Pushing her way inside, she was eventually admitted with a few smiles and exchanged greetings and a âCipher will be notified that youâre hereâ.
KnightâŠWonder what he was up to these days. While Kathe was preparing for the winter months, what was he doing? Probably the same as usual, she suspected. Sitting behind a desk or hunting criminalsâŠor something in-between.
She waited in one of the many hospital rooms, swinging her mechanical legs slowly as she waited for both Knight and her doctor. Tune ups before she disappeared for the entire winter were usually a good idea, and they needed to make sure that the prosthetic could survive Freljordâs harsh storms. The hunter looked up as the door was opened, smiling at who entered.Â
Katheâs visit had been expected, even if he had not known precisely when she would arrive. With time came familiarity, patterns, repetition; things that even the agent himself could not help but fall prey to, from time to time. But he had been working with a new associate of his, a gifted woman with a talent for hextech in addition to so unique skills of her own. She had long, dark hair that she wore back in a braid, piercing eyes of gold, and features sharp enough to almost cut the air as she walked. Clearly athletic, but skin darker than almost any that could be found in Piltover, though that wasnât saying much. Foreign to the City, but beyond that, a mystery...if one were to guess, however, their first would likely be the deserts of Shurima.Â
The two entered the hospital room that Kathe had been waiting in, and for once, Knight met her smile with his own. It had been a good week, quieter than most, and that reprieve gave him enough space to breathe, at least for the time being.
âWell, Iâm glad to see you havenât gotten any new metal pieces, Kathe, no matter how well you wear the ones you have.â He chuckled. âBut Iâm happy to see you here before the winter sets in. I hope the hunts have been good for you and your village, but knowing you, I shouldnât have to worry too much.â
He motioned to the woman accompanying him, who gave a short, polite bow. She smiled at Kathe with a warmth that was almost unexpected, given the intensity that she usually wore.Â
âKathe, Iâd like you to meet Agent Risha. She and I have been working together for the past few months, and when she heard that you had arrived, she asked if she could meet you. I hope you donât mind her joining us here.â
