Underrated part of Captain Marvel:

when Talos looks at Carol with such understanding and forgiveness in his eyes as she’s about to have a panic attack on that ship, and says, “it’s war, my hands are filthy with it too,” and just moves on.

when this movie is old and we’re past those men hating it for no reason and a new generation is studying it, that line will still ring true, and I think it’s doubly important in today’s ‘cancel culture’: Carol and Talos and countless others have bathed their hands in blood because of horrible misunderstandings and brainwashing and manipulation on a large scale. And they don’t cancel each other. They see each other for what they can be.

They reach out, they look, they see. They understand, they forgive, they do better, they work together and they move on. As we should.
