AFTER WHAT FEELS LIKE YEARS OF HEARING SNIPPETS OF THE AUDIOBOOK OF TIKTOK I FINALLY READ IT

Bought the physical book and finished it in a day.

I have never felt so connected to a female lead than I did with Aly. I’m hella into masked men and, frankly, if one was waiting for me when I came home, I’d want him on me in SECONDS

And let me tell you, I absolutely love Josh. He’s so funny and just his obsession with Aly was what I want.

I think I mentally have a problem.

It definitely gave off ai chat vibes with how quickly they got in a relationship but it was building for months regardless.

My biggest qualm with this book is the murder part. Like…. Was that really necessary? Bringing in some rich rapist in just to kill him with misplacement of duck tape? And don’t get me started on the sudden ties to Aly and the mob

I don’t know….. just seemed a little unecessary. But hey, it’s a best seller and I couldn’t put it down so imma just shut my mouth

So I decided to dabble in some dragon rider smut and let me tell you…. I stayed up til 4 am to finish majority of the book.

I had to force myself to sleep!

Anyway, lore was pretty heavy and I was kinda confused at times.

BUT THE WAY THE MEN YEARNED WAS INSANE

Here’s some passages:

By the way, she has four dragon riders as her mate, possibly a fifth.

But GED? He’s my favorite. He yearned so hard for her I’m left shaking and screaming into my pillow.

The smut was very little but I’m sure there’s more in the second book.

Anyway, not much to say, honestly. If you like lore heavy romance, this is for you!

Oh boy another hockey romance! I daresay it’s not the last.

This one made me so anxious, like physically! The foreshadow of the sex tape half way through the story made it a tad hard to read. On top of that, because I’m reading on my phone, I kept getting headaches.

All in all, I was invested.

I’m kind of a sucker for a “playboy turned simp” trope and Carter fit the bill. The fact he was more worried about her career than his own made me fall in love with him. We love supporting women.

One thing I hated was that he never referred to Bailey as Bailey, only called her “James”. And when he proposed, she said “I’ll be a Carter now” and he said “but you’ll always be my James”. I get it’s kind of romantic but it’s not my cup of tea.

Plus, I like the idea of him calling her Carter in the future.

And let me tell you how much I hated her ex, Luke. Privileged little boy who couldn’t make a girl orgasm and felt the urge to ruin both hers and Carters lives. In the end, he got what he deserved

The smut was definitely better than Collide cause there was more of it!

Oh boy! We are straying from the poly and going back to simple male x female relationships.

This time, with the Russian Mafia!

I’ve been highly invested in this book. The plot was interesting in regards to Nats missing fiancé and the smut was very tasteful

I think the biggest thing for me was Kage, the male lead. This guy literally pulled a “love at first sight” move. He was there to kill her but realized that he can’t live without her. He made my heart fold so many times!

He literally killed his boss, THE HEAD OF THE RUSSIAN MAFIA, because he tried to kill HIS girl.

He literally begged her to kill him when she had a gun to his head because he couldn’t bare the thought of living without her

AND he was willing to reverse his vasectomy because she wanted kids

This man WORSHIPED Nat!

What’s even better is that the series has an interesting way of transitioning to the next book. The storyline in the first one sets up the characters in the next one. It’s hard to explain so you’ll have to read it for yourself

I know I said I was going to read this right away but the idea of Alexandros dead made me pause

But I finished it and I’m happy I did!

Okay…. First off, what a ride! This book was definitely lore heavy and the fact that Giorgios was evil was not on my bingo card.

And Lucien being good?!?! It made me so happy.

There wasn’t a ton of smut but the BL moment between Alexandros and Xavier had me feral, despite their original relationship was just Alexandros finding family replacements.

And to finish this off, let me enlighten you with two of my favorite passages.

- Lucien asks Ophelia what the most powerful force in the world was. She responds “love”. And let me tell you, I could feel him thinking “you dumb bitch”. He then says “the elements, Ophelia….” Lucien was sassy as hell and I wish him the best

- In the second to last chapter, Axl says “if we don’t get to sleep, Santa won’t come”. And what does Xavier say? “But if we go to sleep, Ophelia won’t come”. Xavier is the horniest of the four

Okay….. I have a lot to say. But first, this is the quickest I’ve uploaded in a while and my streak has not ended! There is a third book and I will be starting it soon. For now….

I was very confused in the beginning when they suddenly mentioned the professors son, who became the sole antagonist of the story (it seemed). But it was better explained later so I’ll forgive them for that

On the bright side, I very much enjoyed the hunting scene because I remember seeing it on TikTok a while back. It was, by far, my favorite part.

I think this book was more focused on lore than smut, which is okay regarding how invested I was.

What I didn’t like was how little of Malachi and Axl we had. This book was heavy on Xavier and Alexandrios (the professor) lore. I think this reason is because they have expressed “I love yous” to her.

I’m usually not one for professor x student but we are waaaaay past that

AND LET ME TELL YOU THE ENDING?!?! Practically forcing me to read the third book ASAP

Make sure to read the first book because this is NOT a standalone!

Oh boy! Another polyamorous vampire story!

I didn’t think I’d read another but here we are. And I am GLAD I DID.

After days of seeing snippets on my FYP on TikTok, I gave in and read it. And after I finished it, I knew in my heart that I’ll be reading book two on the same day.

Let me start with how much I love Malachi. He genuinely fell in love with her first so I was so upset that he didn’t take her V card first. Axl and Xavier were kinda psychotic but I’m glad they turned out to be better in the end.

AND HOW EXCITED I WAS WHEN THE PROFESSOR GAVE IN TO BONDING WITH HER! OH MY GOOOOOD

And the epilogue?!

Y’all need to read this because I did it in less than 24 hours

This was an iteration on Hades and Persephone. I’m a bit of a slut for Hades and Persephone work.

This one was one of the best iterations I’ve seen in a long time. The journey of them falling in love and the smut! The smut was *chefs kiss*. A trope that I’ve never really read was voyeurism and public sex and I loved it!

Just Hades development from brooding leader to a simping puppy was just everything. And when he was worrying about how Persephone would see him after beating a guy shitless? I was screaming “my baby!!”

One thing I disliked was the way Zeus died. I wanted something better than Zeus falling out of a window to his death. I mean…. That’s what we get?!?! After all he’s done?

I liked this book and there’s a series of stand alones that have a variety of different mythology pairs. However, I’m not going to read them.

A friend of mine actually picked this out for me and I KNEW HE WOULDNT DISAPPOINT ME!

I’m not one for polyamory tropes but when it comes to no jealousy and f*cking like rabbits, I’m all for it!

I absolutely loved Wolf, the second male love interest. He added humor to the book and just calling her “love” made me fold.

I think this book was really invested in the relationship between Rylan, Wolf, Malachi, and Mina but not so much the ending and explaining certain things. Granted, the characters probably never did discover the premise of Mina’s seraphim side.

It was a tad disappointing when they killed her father. I guess I was just kind of expecting more? At least he got the “I f*cked up” look before he died.

But let’s be real…. I was here for the smut- I mean- “plot”.

Go and read this for yourself! If you like poly and vampires, I highly suggest!

I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN!

I’m kind of a slut for guys who would literally drop everything for the girl they love. AND AIDEN WAS HIM.

Like my last book review, the female love interest was annoyingly stubborn. Pushing him away just because he didn’t fit into her life plan? Girl… he had to literally tell you that you are his world!

Anyway, let me talk about the father really quick. I have my fair share of daddy issues and her relationship with him reminded me of mine. Love the good representation of my life but without a man worshiping the ground I walk on *cries*.

And the sex? Honestly…. Nothing too special. I was excited when they first did something sexual but after that it wasn’t as amazing. The only good thing about each sex scene was when Aiden would dish out dirty talk. Now THAT I enjoyed.

I loved this book and I suggest you guys read it too!

After not finishing the first The Curvy Girl Club book (Curvy Girls Can't Date Quarterbacks), I decided to read the second book (which is this one).

Unlike the last book, the main girl, Jordan, was more focused on her insecurities of poverty than her weight. Guess you need a different insecurity from the last one.

What's very interesting about this one is that it can be a standalone but the characters from the previous story reappear. We also get a glimpse of the next book, which also contains characters from the previous two. Guess that makes this a series.

The whole conflict of this book is that Jordan and her love interest, Kai, have to keep their relationship a secret from everyone. Let me tell you, Kai deserved so much better than he got. This man literally paid off Jordan's family debt and remembered things she enjoyed like.... who DOESN'T want a man like HIM. Kai lived, breathed, and slept thinking about Jordan. He was a SIMP. And what does she do? Breaks up with him and ignores him until he, once again, helped her in a dire situation. Like I said, dude deserved better.
