Regarding the leaked paper kingdom demo jam session with gerard and ray, one section really jumped out at me, thanks to @thefoundationsofdecay for this transcription

so we get this framework for the paper kingdom with a writer/novellist, paper = typewriter paper, ect

and then this reference is made to the pillow man

"It tells the tale of Katurian, a fiction writer living in a police state, who is interrogated about the gruesome content of his short stories and their similarities to a number of bizarre child murders occurring in his town."

and that as an allusion to make with their story of the album is VERY interesting, obviously not a one to one adaptation! but more about that idea of writing about something putting you in proximity to it and the idea of blame/guilt and if that work needs to be put out into the world are interesting themes to draw from in this case with the abandoned album being what it is.

idk idk, it's interesting to roll this mention around my brain with what we know about the paper kingdom concept
