it’s easy to get lost in michael’s eyes. sam does it all the time, and it’s kinda actually dangerous. like when he’s in the turning lane, or at practice when mack’s shooting pucks at 95mph past his visor, or when he’s making misa his stupid grilled fucking cheese and ends up with his palm in a hot pan.
“fuck,” he bites out, and still manages to get it perfectly crispy. on a plate, beside a pile of ketchup.
“’re you ok, dick?” mis asks, taking little bites around the crust before getting to the good stuff. sam’s running his hand under cold water and like, does it look like he’s good? it looks like he’s stupid, mostly.
sam notices how mis’ pupils get all huge when he’s interested or like, determined; when he’s talking about upping his lat pulldown pr or something. he notices how they’re different when he’s watching tape and tearing himself apart. they get all wet like he’s gonna cry, but never does, talking about how he wishes warso would let him play just like, 5 more minutes a game. “i know i’m good for it,” misa gulps, and sam believes him, and he— his lashes are so long, almost like a girl’s. fuck. sam doesn’t know what to do with that, tucks it away for later.
they’re laying on the couch, legs tangled together, and misa seems just content, yapping about…something. his eyes look so bright, like the sun’s reflecting off them, turning them kinda red, kinda gold. and sam can’t stop looking. he’s vaguely aware that his mouth is falling open but not aware enough to snap it shut.
“did’ya see, dick—” sam didn’t, doesn’t say anything except misa right in front of him, so… pretty or something. he looks happy, til he scowls and kicks sam in the shin. fair enough. “dick. did’ya see? graffer said in the groupchat to come over for dogs and beers.”
sam pretty much does whatever will keep mis smiling like he is, so they’re in the car and they’re at graffer’s and sam has a thought he’s only ever really had once or twice before, like when london lost the mem cup, that he’d rather be alone with mis than around all these damn people. and he likes these damn people a lot, but not more than he likes michael misa.
and like, sam argues that he doesn’t have to justify himself to himself but he’s sitting there, unopened miller light in front of him, watching mike happily scarf down 3 hotdogs with ketchup on them and nothing else, and he’s thinking, it’s not fair that misa has seen me cry but i haven’t seen him cry. and god, i wonder what it’d look like. another thought to tuck away for later, he guesses.
the toffoli’s halloween party comes around, and mis lets sam fuck him. lets, sounds kinda pathetic. allows him the honour? whatever. he kinda stumbles into the opportunity even though he’s wanted it for like, ever really. since he got the concept of fucking down. and he’s not really been shy about saying so, but michael misa is a brick wall, and sam’s never been quite brave enough to explicitly say, “that wasn’t a joke, michael. please take your pants off.” but now’s his chance, ‘cause they’re both like six solo cups of the halloween punch that cat made deep and misa keeps burrowing into his shoulder. “i’m not having fun anymore,” he whines, and sam tugs them away, back to misa’s side of the house.
in his bedroom, sam sits misa down on the bed and starts unwrapping his stupid costume, cape and dress, leaving him in just boxers and the tank he usually wears under his pump cover. “you wanna cuddle?” he asks, and that’s normal. lately, at least, and sam lowkey thanks god for it. mike shakes his head though, and his eyes look so dark, like bottomless pits, worried maybe. unhappy for sure. wanting something? sam’s throwing shots in the dark here and like, it’s fine if mis doesn’t wanna cuddle. they can do anything, pretty much.
“what do you want, mis?”
mike flops back on the mattress with an oomph, and his shirt rides up a little. sam legitimately feels like he’s having a traumatic neurological event. he’s seen it before! misa has abs, not just freshly pumped after his workout, but pretty much always. rippling stomach, sam sometimes says in an exaggerated voice, rolls the r. it makes misa blush and giggle and whatever, but his mouth has gone dry now. no words. he walks closer, and their knees knock together and misa goes, “d’you think it’d be weird if we hooked up?” and maybe it would be, or maybe not, and sam can’t give a shit. he might explode if they don’t. if he can’t get his hands dirty.
the next morning, sam wakes up first and, on account of how misa can be dreadful as fuck before 11am, probably worse when he’s hungover, he doordashes two coffees over. all mike’s pillows ended up on the ground, so he picks them up and pulls his sweats on, even though he’s kinda sticky and gross, ‘cause he’s gotta go meet the delivery guy.
when he gets back, mike’s up, poking at a new little bruise sam sucked into his shoulder. his hand flys down to scratch his nuts or whatever when he sees sam round the corner and neither of them say anything about it. they go back to normal.
after the sharks’ winning streak gets broken in calgary, the guys are all a little drunk because goody buys a bottle of tequila and lets everyone come lick their wounds in his room for awhile. mike is being sooo clingy and he keeps berating himself even though after mack, he was prolly the closet to actually putting something in the net. they sit around and play spades. sam washes toff. mike finds space between sam’s chair and the wall and parks himself there.
eventually, when goody kicks everyone out, sam drags him back to their room by his wrist.
“what are you doing?” he demands, not a real question with an accessible answer. sam knows, doesn’t care, forcing mike against the wall and licking into his mouth before either of them can stammer out something idiotic. they haven’t talked about it at all in the weeks since the first time, but sam keeps finding himself deep inside michael, nailing himself to the cross of those little sounds he makes. he doesn’t know what to say about that, can’t think of a good excuse. it feels good, it makes mis feel good, and sam never— he never— mis’ bottom lip is wobbling, and his eyes are shut tight, trying to find his footing with sam’s knee rocking between his thighs.
sam fucks into misa, hard and maybe breaking something in the bed. (kind of a fantasy sam has.) it’s unkind, dangling mis in the air like he’s a fragile, a vessel sam’s gonna smash to get out all this pissed off energy. and misa takes it so well, pushing back when sam presses in, chorus of little unh unh unhs sliping between his lips. it feels like a bundle of rope unspooling in sam’s stomach. “so good,” he huffs, “so good at this. made for this, mis.” and misa whimpers and snuffles but he doesn’t cry and sam wonders again what it would take to get him there. a little bit he wonders, and then feels pretty gross about wondering. tries sooo hard to turn it off, for real, promise. but then there’s this glimmer of wetness around misa’s lashes and sam’s thumb can’t help but drag it down his cheek. automatic!
that’s not what makes him come though, hand cupped against misa’s face, squeezing a little, pressing his temple, urging more to spill out of him. it’s not. swear. don’t ask.
that, or something like it, happens a lot now, and they still never talk about it. not a word. not in the morning when sam’s muscles are tired and mis is his usual cranky self, sometimes a little sorer. sam leaves a kiss on his forehead and gets him an advil from the toffoli’s bathroom pharmacy and toff’s so defeated he just grumbles, “thanks for being quiet last night” into his coffee cup. definitely not when they try different stuff, meaner stuff, a little meaner at least. stuff where misa ends up with rug burn on his knees and a surprisingly deep bite mark on his pec and he needs 20 minutes of getting so up in sam’s space he’s basically sniffing his armpit to come back down from wherever he was. heaven, maybe.
sam doesn’t mind. he the opposite of minds because seriously, it’s the best he’s ever had. so good. mikey’s so good. for him, he tells himself, feels a little high on it. all this cake just for me? bigheaded. he’s so good, and yet, sam doesn’t call him baby, or anything approaching sweet. he calls him mis. he calls him mikey. he calls him michael in this two octaves lower voice that makes him feel kinda corny but it really does somethin’ for mis. he calls him greedy once and flinches from how hard mis’ nails dig into the muscle of his back. but no baby. absolutely not. baby is dangerous. baby is boyfriend shit. baby is what you say when you’re not pretending this is just something you keep doing because it keeps happening and who even knows how?
the night before they both fly home for christmas break, same plane and everything, and mike’s so sleepy, but he begs sam for it. “dickie please,” he fusses, makes grabby hands like a needy little baby. “if we don’t, i’m not gonna see you for like, 3, 4 days. i’m not gonna get to—”
and sam knows. so mike’s presses his face against his thigh, hair a mess, blinking slow like every thought has to walk through a snowdrift to get to his mouth. and sam should’ve probably just told him to go to bed, because sam is respectful and responsible and other things that it’s important to be, but mike is also looking up at him like that, eyes all big and doe-like, and fluttering closed and then snapping open again, muttering something about wanting to make him feel good, so. you know. restraint is something for other people to deal with.
sam guides him, cradles the back of his head and it’s sweet at first. mike is so obviously too drowsy to be making strategic decisions about sucking cock, so he does these little kitten licks at first, then must decide he’s gotta try harder, mouth warm and clumsy around sam’s length as he tries to make up for being uncoordinated by being ambitious. very on brand, sam thinks, distantly, through the haze of how do i get him to quit hockey and do this forever instead. misa keeps at it even when sam’s fingers twist through his curls and he coos, “mis, come on, let’s crash,” which does take a lot of strength to do, by the way, saying he doesn’t want it. he wants it bad, he’s just uh. trying to be a considerate guy. he would let mis fall asleep there, live there if he wanted to.
and mike looks offended by that. he tries to take sam deeper, a few inches and then the rest of the way, proving a point, and for one perfect second, he gets there. humming, proud of himself maybe, before his throat closes hard and his eyes fly open, all wide and panicked, fingers digging into sam’s thigh, this small punched cough catching in his chest and sam trying to keep his cool, nudging under mike’s chin with two fingers, easing him off.
“hey, i got you,” sam says, soft. i promise, soft. and then, stupid, “don’t push yourself, dummy.”
mike’s eyes are all wet now. big and dark and shiny, tears caught in his lashes, face flushed from coughing and trying to hold it in. his chews on his lip so hard the skin starts to split around his teeth and blinks, rapid like he’s trying to keep the tears gated behind his lids. and sam is fucked up. he never wanted mis hurt, or scared or thinking even for a second he’d done anything wrong. sam would never want that. he would probably go to prison to keep it from happening, or do some other equally life-ruining thing. and mis is looking up at sam, his nose is all scrunched and pink, eyes getting closer to pools every time he blinks.
sam gets his hands under mike and hauls him up, face buried in the juncture between sam’s shoulder and neck. “baby, no,” he whispers, “don’t cry, don’t cry, you’re not— you’re not dumb. you’re so smart, mikey” and mike’s just nodding into him, fingers twisting nervously into the bedsheets.
then he starts moving again. little shift against sam’s lap, open mouth dragging wet and aimless over sam’s neck like he forgot where he was and what he was supposed to be doing. sam feels the second it happens, the way mike’s breathing changes, the way his hands stop clutching the sheets and start pushing weakly at sam’s chest instead, trying to get back to exactly where he wants to be. unmatched eagerness. sam must be the luckiest guy in the world.
“fuck that’s. that’s my good boy,” he stammers, breaking through all the fence posts he’d imagined would keep their vibe in tact (that’s my bro! not my good boy! both can be true, perhaps) and mike’s eyes get huge like he’d never considered that’s something someone could say to him. he starts weeping again, lanes of tears running down his cheeks and dripping off his chin. real crying, but not because something hurts, maybe just because his body can’t keep itself is check and so much is going on. and sam isn’t sure if it’s okay to think it’s as hot as he does, barely controlled urge to fuck up into misa’s throat. his poor throat, probably a little strained, and sam doesn’t know at this point. welcome to his dark twisted mind?
mis is just trying to make him feel good and he does so well at it. he teaches sam the distinction between good tears and bad tears. there’s crying because something hurts, which sam will not allow, and then there’s crying because your brain’s turned to goo. mis gets that way by getting checked on and getting called baby and having sam so deep in his throat he’s gotta breathe through his nose about it. and even though mike’s trying to tell him it’s okay, really good actually, sam feels so much shame about how hot it is that it loops back around into being its own separate kink.
he keeps wiping mike’s face with his thumb, keeps saying stupid soft shit like, “that’s my boy,” and “you needed this so bad, huh?,” and mike keeps nodding, making these wrecked little noises like every word is making him better-worse. like sam being gentle is somehow more embarrassing than sam being mean. like baby did exactly what sam was afraid it would do, change the vibe somehow, except only here, only like this, only with mike looking up at him with wet lashes and a mouth he still wants to use.
after, when mike’s recovered enough to be annoying again but not enough to fully look sam in the eye, he goes, murmurs against sam’s stomach, “it seemed like you got more into it.”
sam’s on the defense too quick because he know mis is right. “no. what?”
“when i—” he stops, jaw working. if he’s feeling anything like sam, maybe wondering if he’s said too much. “when i cried.”
sam considers fleeing the country.
“i didn’t like that you were upset,” he says, which is true.
mike looks at him then, suspicious and still a little pink around the eyes. “but you liked it when i cried.”
sam opens his mouth. closes it. thinks about lying, but unfortunately mike is looking at him like all expectant, big bug eyes (affectionate), and sam’s already called him a good boy while he had tears running down his cheeks, so honesty is kinda the name of the game right now.
“maybe,” he concedes. “not bad crying. not if you feel bad.”
mike blinks.
sam says, quieter, “just. you looked pretty.”
and mike pulls this face, complicated and disastrous, embarrassed and pleased and furious about being pleased, and probably furious at sam for being such a freak. and fair enough.
outside the privacy of their rooms, nothing changes, because of course it doesn’t. except the few dangerous times when it does. mike still calls him dickie and steals his phone charger and acts like sam is annoying for knowing exactly what he needs. sam doesn’t call him baby in front of anyone. obviously. he is not suicidal. he calls him mis, mikey, idiot, hey, get your shit, because those are normal things to say to the guy you just watched ride you until he was in tears.
and then one day, months after this whole thing started, they’re leaving il fornaio and sam sees the phone on the table. doesn’t think about it. not even for a second. just grabs it and says, “baby, your phone.” just like that. not sexy. not even soft, really. automatic. the same voice as drink your gatorade, mis or arms up, bud.
and then the whole world keeps turning. forks clinking. someone laughing by the bar. mike stopping dead for half a second, before his lips turn up and into a grin.

no bc i need more omega misa thoughts now🧍🏻♀️
if we’re going with a first in-season heat in feb 2026 i think there’s no way misa didn’t spend it with sam, but im thinking of how they went about it. i can see misa building himself up to ask sam to be with him during it but then the guys start talking about their olympic break plans and misa’s just like shit i can’t interrupt sam’s tropical vacation for this. however sam, observant as ever when it comes to misa, bullies the truth out of him as soon as misa’s demeanor deflates and basically buys misa a plane ticket on the spot to join him whenever he’s going so they can spend misa’s heat together. sam’s all “might as well be somewhere we can enjoy the beach after, eh?” and if they bond during this vacation then oops
a/b/o samisa post ref
thank you for enabling me anon... its yap o'clock
i agree with you, i think that misa and sam's first heat together was misa's third heat, in february 2026. keeping the context in mind: this is misa's third heat of his LIFE (second regular heat because presentation heats are weird) and he has a troubled relationship with his second gender.
misa and sam have been dancing around eachother for years by this point. misa would roll his eyes at sam's alpha posturing in their junior days, but it would also make a little spark of heat light up in his belly when sam grinned his stupid confident grin at him from across the ice. and then, of course, they slotted together like puzzle pieces in san jose. no alpha/omega weirdness (despite toff's repeated protests). sam just makes mike feel safe, and more specfically, sam makes mike feel safe as an omega. sam treats him just like he always has, which was misa's number one fear coming into the league, that he'd be treated differently by people he'd known because of his second gender. sam's just... he's respectful, not in a smitty-formally-courting-mack kind of way, but he remembers the small things about misa and always keeps him in mind., which is like, wow. misa has also been gently encouraged by the sharks health staff to find an alpha he's comfortable spending his next heat with, because it could help balance some of the stress hormones he's been dealing with all season. mike cannot think of a single alpha he would trust to spend this heat with.... except sam.
cue many hours of fretting over how to ask sam, because what if sam says no and doesn't want to be friends anymore? and what if its weird because they're teammates? and what if sam says no and laughs in misa's face? sam dickinson, known michael misa observer, notices this new anxiety radiating from mis and is determined to get to the bottom of it. mike keeps avoiding it whenever he tries to bring it up, until one night they're watching a movie in sam's apartment and mike isn't cuddling up to him like he normally would and sam has had enough. mikey i need you to talk to me about what's been bothering you, because its making you avoid me, and i can't have that. and mike is flustered and tries to insit no sam really its nothing- but sam isn't having it and tackles mike to the couch, pinning him with his full body weight, demanding he tell him. sam is very interested in the way mike goes boneless, pupils dilating, before turning his head away from sam and answering so softly sam wouldn't be able to hear it if their faces weren't so close. will you spend my heat with me? youre the only one i trust. and fuck, if that isn't the best thing sam has ever heard. looks like christmas came early after all. sam can actually feel himself getting hard at the prospect of spending a heat with this beautiful omega under him, and scrambles off mike to hide his implicating hard-on with a pillow. yeah mike, of course, i'd be happy to, sam finally replies, which makes mike look up, surprised. really? he asks, which makes sam scoff and say of course i want to spend a heat with a gorgeous omega like you, mis. im not blind or celibate. "gorgeous" bounces around in mike's head like a ping-pong ball, making him flush a brilliant red. wow, uh, okay, thank you so much, it'll be over olympic break, which means its fine if you already had plans- and sam cuts him off with a they're cancelled. for you. you're my priority. we'll find a nice place where you'll be as comfortable as possible to ride it out.
that may or may not have been the moment michael misa knew he was truly gone for this handsome, boneheaded alpha. he can neither confirm nor deny.
taking michael misa competence kink too seriously.....
thinking about how sam seems like the kinda guy to attract super hot, super cool, high maintenance girls who look at him like a little court jester. his past girlfriend wanted him to watch her try on 15 different dresses at reformation and pay for her nails, and pick out what color she'd get. and sam is happy to do all of this because despite the rumors, he's a committed guy. a good partner. and he loves a little task, a little responsibility so he doesn't spend all of his rest days playing cod and jerking off.
he starts hanging around misa more and thinks he's different. he's not asking for anything, not making a big deal, but that ends up being exactly the problem. mike will just sit there quietly getting worse. hungry, tired, too hot, too many people talking, shoelace untied, headache starting behind one eye, whatever. he won’t say shit until he’s at the point of being snippy and short and totally retreating into himself, and what's sam to do about this but start paying attention?
he can't just stand there watching mike sway a little on his feet, pale around the mouth, stomach audibly grumbling. he goes, “jesus christ, did you not eat today or are you being haunted?” then he’s guiding mike by the elbow toward the car before he even answers, hitting the drive thru without asking if mike wants anything because of course he wants something, he’s just being weird about having regular needs. he shoves a water bottle into mike's chest because it’s hot out and mike is still wearing a hoodie like he WANTS to get heat exhaustion, so sam gets right in his space to unzip it himself.
for what it's worth, mike doesn't seem to mind. he acts annoyed, obviously. he'll make a face, but he drinks the water. he lets sam unzip his hoodie and tug it off his shoulders. he eats what sam ordered without complaining because sam knows his chipper order. he whines when sam interrupts his scrolling to go "kay, enough screen time, let's go for a walk" but still, he goes. if he told sam to fuck off for real, none of this would be happening. keep happening.
toff notices and kinda acts like his job is being co-opted, like sam is getting in the way or something, but sam's just like, this is what you do when your best friend has the self-preservation skills of a bug flying into one of those zappy lamp things.
it takes 30 days to form a habit and that's about how long it takes for mike to start expecting sam to just know what he needs and do it. not consciously. if you asked him, which reavo had, if something was going on, he'd just go "no, dickie's just annoying." but he starts pausing beside sam when they leave practice, waiting for sam to check if he has his phone, wallet, keys, airpods. he starts handing sam granola bar wrappers and half-empty drinks without thinking. he starts drifting closer when rooms get loud, letting sam put himself between mike and whoever is talking too loud. he’ll stand there with his arms out while sam pulls his jersey over his head and goes "damn, hope your arms aren't broken" and then fully winks.
and sam, who already loves a task, is immediately like oh no. oh this is the best task in the world. he gets so embarrassingly into it. he starts having opinions about mike like it’s his job. he's tired. he's too quiet. too warm. needs food. needs to sit. needs to get out of here before he starts biting people. mike will be like “i’m fine” and sam’s like “you’ve been cranky for twenty minutes."
it turns into this private language where sam just knows best, and he tells mike to do something, and he just does it. for the best really.
arms up.
come here.
sit.
look at me.
and mike is still bitching, still rolling his eyes, still calling sam annoying, but his body is already halfway through listening before his mouth has finished objecting. which is fine. usefully really. definitely not something sam is thinking about later when he’s alone remembering the way mike went limp when sam put two fingers under his chin and told him to drink the damn gatorade.
the worst part is mike isn’t even coy about it. he’s not trying to be hot. he’s just standing there, sixish feet of deeply repressed hockey player, letting sam manhandle him into basic wellness like he doesn’t understand that this is doing irreversible damage to sam’s brain chemistry.
like sam will be rubbing out mike’s shoulder after a game, talking absolute nonsense because silence makes him feel like he’s gonna do something horribly regrettable, and mike is all loose and heavy under his hands, half-listening, making these tiny annoyed sounds whenever sam hits a sore spot. and sam is like yeah, this is very normal, bro stuff, nothing to see here. meanwhile mike’s head drops forward and sam can see the back of his neck and soft tufts of hair there and suddenly sam is having to remember all that stuff he heard during "the talk" about respect and responsibility. it's hard to be respectful and responsible when mike's grinding into his lap, but prolly not even grinding, just trying to squirm away because sam's trying to get a gnarly knot out.
then sam says, “quit moving,” and mike does. he still huffs and makes that annoyed little sound again and it's unfortunately kinda cute, and his body goes loose again. head tipped forward. shoulders heavy. hands useless in his lap. and sam has this insane second of like, oh, okay, so that works. he can just say something and mike might? listen. it seems like too much power to have over some guy, some 2nd round pick nhler who's not even close to his ceiling. and that should not do anything for sam but
obviously it does. because mike is still sitting there, warm and pliant and bitchy, letting sam work his thumbs down from his shoulders to his hips like sam has any business knowing this much about how his body works. letting sam find the sore spots. letting sam tell him when to sit still, when to drink, when to move, when to stop pretending he’s fine. and the whole time mike is acting like this is just sam being annoying, overbearing, which is almost worse because it means he isn’t even trying to be hot. he’s just like this
because it’s not just that mike needs things. lots of people need things. sam has dated girls who needed things and he was good at that, actually. elite, even. he can carry bags. he can wait outside dressing rooms. he can say “the blue one” with enough confidence that it sounds like a real opinion.
but mike doesn’t point. mike doesn’t ask. mike just gets quiet or pissy and sam has to figure it out himself. and you know sam gets off on being right. so maybe sam thinks he wants a high-maintenance girl until he gets one low-maintenance boy who won’t admit he needs anything, and then he develops a full-time unpaid position as michael misa’s emotional support nuisance.
and maybe mike thinks he’s just letting sam be annoying because it’s easier than fighting him.
but sam knows better. or he’s starting to.
because mike can say dickie, stop managing me all he wants, but then he’ll hand sam his battery dead phone, or stand there with his collar crooked waiting for sam to fix it, or drift into sam’s side in a crowded bar there's no way he can leave until sam tells him it's time to go.
OH and you know it all goes downhill when sam hurts his wrist and is on IR for a few weeks. his first practice back, wrist still taped up and useless, the first thing he sees is mike standing in front of his cubby all panting and sweaty and exhausted, hair stuck to his forehead, looking pissed off in that very specific way where he’s OBVIOUSLY dehydrated, and cherny, who sam likes, okay, cherny’s a chill guy, cherny has done nothing wrong except be born stupid in this exact moment, hands mike a yellow gatorade. yellow. and mike takes it because mike will take whatever someone gives him if it means he doesn’t have to ask for the right thing, and sam feels this horrible inescapable rage climb up his throat because mike only likes the fucking red ones, dumbass, but it’s not even about the gatorade, which is the problem. it’s about sam being gone for three weeks and everyone apparently deciding his job was up for grabs, except nobody knows how to do it right. nobody knows mike won’t say he wants red but will drink the whole thing if you give it to him. nobody knows he gets cranky before he gets tired, or that he needs to sit before he admits his legs are cooked. and sam is standing there with one bad wrist and the sudden, humiliating realization that maybe this was never just mike needing him. maybe sam needs it too. needs to be the guy who mike drifts toward without thinking because his body already knows where to go. so he walks over, takes the yellow gatorade out of mike’s hand, says, “wrong one,” like he’s not insane, like this is a normal thing to be territorial about, and mike looks at him for half a second, all flushed and breathing hard and already holding his hand out for the red one, and sam is like. yeah. okay. so this is less acts of service and more whatever disease you get when one guy needs to be handled and the other guy needs to be the only one allowed to do it
omega misa who in heat who is so so desparate to keep alpha sam’s cum inside him even after his knot deflates that he whines and cries and shakes and tries to plug himself up with his own fingers.
sam buys them a plug for next time because his omegas cries are the most heartbreaking thing he’s ever heard

Hello.
preslash samisa -> cat and felicia and the other wags are handbedazzling wag jackets for the sharks first playoff game (!!!) and of course cat asks her billet son if he wants to hang out and chat. misa has a secret crafty side so cat secretly ordered an extra jacket for him and asks him if he wants to make one too with his own number, maybe for a walk in outfit. and misa agrees even though he’s worried he’s gonna mess it up. but he ends up zoning into it so hard and getting so lost in the chatter of the women around him that he barely even notices what he’s doing. so after a while cat finishes hers and looks over at misa and lets out a surprised little “oh!” when she sees misa has bedazzled a beautiful teal 6 on the back of the jacket. misa looks down, finally realizes what he just made, and is so so so so embarrassed despite cats reassurances that it’s cute and sam will love it.
cat convinces misa to wear the jacket even though he’s kinda nervous and then sam really likes it and asks him to wear it all the time like not even for games just out and about. mis feels a sense of pride wearing the 6.
and if anyone asks about it he just smiles and says that he’s only showing support for his best friend, because friends definitely wear bedazzled wag jackets with their friends numbers on them, obviously.
in case anyone was wondering, sam does, in fact, love it and gets flushed and hard when he sees mis walk into their first game wearing it. the jacket stays on later that night.
i wanna drum in a band again

just had to say….. your new samisa fic….. delicious
YAY THANK YOU!!!!!
yeah okay but like. imagine one of the older sharks coming into the locker room for practice and when they take their shirt off their back is totally scratched up from their hookup last night. and of course everyone starts whistling and chirping yo did you get mauled by a fucking bear dude? and sweet misa, who has only ever had the most vanilla sex ever, and who was mid change, is staring at the angry red marks feeling hot all over. and of course sam notices how even as the guys all settle down misa just keeps staring, almost spaced out, and when they get back to sam’s apartment for lunch after practice he brings it up, teasing you want someone to mark you up like that mikey? to which mis blushes bright red and averts his eyes and mumbles something under his breath and sam coaxes him into repeating it and he blurts out i want to be the one doing the marking. and sam just stares at him because holy fuck that’s hot he never knew mike had this side of him and so he offers, as casually as he can without panting like a dog, well i know we’re just best friends but if you wanted to try it out on me before you destroy some chick’s back you can. as bros. and misa thinks sam is very kind to offer to help in such a way, so they find themselves on the couch and misa starts by lightly running his nails across sam’s back which has sam shivering and asking quietly mikey, would you… kiss me? for practice? and misa is like uh yeah. cue makeout that leaves sam with even deeper gashes than they’d seen in the room that morning
oh and also they both come just from rutting against eachother. in a bro way.
This post by nousxpige that talks about Misa really wanting to mark up somebodies back has reminded me of my favorite hc which is that Misa uses Sam as his personal chew toy. Not just chew toy though, stress toy in general. He marks that boy the fuck up. He wants to too, its all very meaningful and on-purpose. None of it is by happenstance or accident, they're all done completely on purpose by Misa.
He leaves his nails just long enough to make long deep bright-red groves in Sams back, he bites at his shoulder, his arm, even his thighs in the middle of giving head, he holds onto Sam so tight he has bruises the shape of Misa's hands. Sam is really very into it too, a bit of concentrated pain that means he's pleasing misa, that means he's doing well, that whatever he's doing feels good.
I don't even think it's just during sex though either, Misa is biting at Sam when Sam is scrolling on tiktok in bed shirtless, it's kinda like cuteness aggression but it's that you feel content and happy and your boyfriend is really hot.
It's not really possessive in nature, but misa's pretty happy with the outcome of everyone seeing that Sam is Satisfied with a capital S, that he's taken, and when a bite peaks out of his shirt at a club no one tries to pull him away from Misa. That's pretty good too.
I do think that Sam is like so insanely marked up all the time that sometimes teammates ask Sam if he's like okay. Like damn that must hurt while working out.
i never get samisa asks i wanna participate in the samisa circle jerk
