Collage: Identity
Clouds: This collage of sky photos shows how design, color, and light can express emotion and identity. I used the rule of thirds and leading lines to guide the viewer’s eye, while the clouds and skies act as negative space to create mood. The changing colors—from bright blue to dark gray to warm sunsets—represent different feelings, like peace, stress, or reflection. Light plays a big role too, with some images feeling calm and others more dramatic. Using Gestalt ideas like figure-ground and similarity helps the images feel connected. Overall, the skies reflect different parts of who I am and how I see the world, using design not just to show what I see—but how I feel. Flowers: This collage centers on nature and personal reflection. The blooming flowers and sunset skies use soft pinks and purples to convey peace, growth, and emotional depth. Images of trees at dusk and an empty playground evoke nostalgia and transition, using light and shadow to suggest memory and change. The glowing object under fabric adds mystery and creativity, symbolizing hidden aspects of identity still forming. Altogether, this collage reflects an evolving self—rooted in nature, shaped by memory, and illuminated by inner growth. Last Collage: This collage explores identity through space, change, and community. The new plant, green trees, and a quiet sunset scene highlight renewal and personal grounding in nature. The renovation of a historic building reflects growth within tradition, while the flag-lined path uses symmetry and color to symbolize global belonging. These images blend natural calm with institutional identity, showing a self that is both transforming and connected to the world around it.
