California Tour Blog: Post #2
It's a sunny sunday in Oakland California this morning, and everyone is catching up on some much needed sleep.
We spent Friday night at the lil red lion in Eureka california. There's a crazy hum in the sound system some locals told us was normal- I'm pretty sure it's the cathode rays from the digital jukebox. We met Amy May who used to book there, she has an awesome collection of tour posters (I uploaded some pictures) and let us sleep on her floor.
Saturday started at 6:00 am, and we drove from Eureka to Berkeley, about 400 miles. We got to Berkeley Community Media to tape a live performance, and we had just set the studio up when the power went out. It was raining pretty hard outside; there was one street light without power, and then the building we were in.
After two hours without electricity, we tore down our equipment in the dark and drove for a few minutes into oakland. We played a house show last night that our friend John from the Molestations had set up for us. They'll be touring to portland in about a month, check them out if you're a Stooges fan. He also shot a live video of our set, I'll post that up as soon as I get it from him.
We have the next week to recover from the first leg of our tour and spend some time with family. Our next booked show is Saturday, February 26th at the Silver Factory Studios in Los Angeles. They're at the new 4310 W Jefferson Blvd address, remember.
