Truthfully, it's probably around 50/50. Sometimes it's both. What I've learnt is the people who grew up watching h2o then went on to watch The Originals in their teens to early twenties. If I had the option, I'd prefer to be a Mermaid too. Let's not play coy though. Edward Cullen was in a league of his own. The fandom for that particular franchise is still going strong. Did you ever like the movies?
That makes sense. They grew up with you, which is actually really sweet. I feel like there's less mermaid representation around. Enough of the vampires and werewolves, give us more mermaids dammit! Edward Cullen is something I'm never going to outrun—since vampires run at the speed of light. I've always had a love-hate relationship with them, more emphasis on the hate. I wouldn't be where I am today without the franchise and I'm glad it holds a special place in people's hearts, for nostalgic reasons. I'm just glad to have moved on to more projects that reflect the type of actor I strive to become.
