The beginning
First of all, this blog belongs to the Youtube-channel “RCTested”, which a friend and me are running. If you like this blog, feel free to subscribe and be sure watch the blog related videos, for example the video from the crash I will mention. About a month ago I crashed my 280 class fpv-racing quadcopter. It fell from 50m down to a stone ground. The only parts remained intact, were the flightcontroller and the GoPro. I discontinued trying to race and remembered I had most fun filming the landscape and flying high. So I decided to build a new low-cost drone for this purpose, instead of spending money on a racing quadcopter, which I probably would destroy again. The purpose of this blog is to share the steps of building, flying and improving the drone (Lights, GPS, GoPro gimbal, etc). I appreciate feedback and tipps, but keep in mind this build should be a low-cost one. The parts for the first step are on their way: F450 frame 4x 1000kv 2212 brushless Motor 4x 30amp esc 1045 props Turnigy 5000mah 20-30c lipo I will keep you updated as soon as the build starts!
