The God of War grumbles. The God of War curses beneath his breath. The God of War--
"Quiet!" Kaine grimaces at the sound of his own voice - much too loud - he'd drank far too much already. Gods, how many had it been? Not as if he were a stranger to a drink now and then, but--
7?! That's beyond his threshold.
"Why in the hells do you want to know about Them?! Why do you even care? Why are you asking me!? Of all the --- " A free hand presses to his temple, attempting to massage away an oncoming headache; to no avail. -- "...Fine. Fine! You want to know what I think about Lucifer?! Fine. I'll tell you. I'll tell you!" -- resignation drips from his words, a quiet surrender; most unusual for the God of War...but then again, he's in no condition to fight right now,is he?
An exhale. Heavy; heavy with what?
"I think...I think Lucifer is a blight upon this universe. A stain upon Life itself. I think--- I think Lucifer is about as far removed from the idea of being 'human' as you could possibly get! That's what I think!" He speaks, vitriol in his voice.
The irony is not lost on him: speaking as a God, he himself wasn't exactly human either - An Incarnation of the Conept of War speaking in denouncement of another, and yet...
The memories won't leave him. The foul taste in his mouth that shakes him to his Core. Burned into his very essence -- His life, his death, everything he'd witness them do and everything he'd heard of them doing; fully believing it all.
Was is the alcohol? Was it his own pent up feelings? An ancient wellspring of unrestrained Rage, Fury and Resentment. Yes, surely, he hated them, surely he---
"...Thassh...right. Lucifer...is a goddamn mistake. A piece of shit that doesn't even seem fit to live - a Blight, a Broken piece of the universe that never quite fit. And-- and you know what? You want to fucking know something!?"

His words fell heavy - the hypocriscy and juxtaposition of what he had just recounted, and the feelings he lays bare a true sight to behold. What was he even saying at this point?
"For all the-- the fucked up piece of shit they are...they're trying...they're trying not to be! In spite of it all. In spite of -- how they were made...and-- and what they were made to do-- Fuck! I was there! I was there, I saw--- I saw-----!!"
The beast that overtook him. The presence that wasn't him. The choked apology before he....
That look in his eye. Even to this day, that look in his eye that haunted Kaine. Like a curse that loomed over him; what caused Lucifer to be like that? His human life made him smart -- he knows this isn't a case of bad parents, or bad upbringing...
Lucifer was made this way.
In a swift moment, his Trident manifested - gleaming even in the artificial light. It point's to the sky above, at nothing, at everything... With nothing before it, yet it's target is clear --

The one's that made them. Lucifer's creator, our creator.
The True Gods; the ultimate creators.
They must exist. There is no other solution.
An outdated mode of thinking. A schema that both pushed him through the darkest times of his life - and was the very thing that brought that life to an end. A vile reaction, a recoil at his own path while also vowing to walk it once more...
Despite all he had now. Despite all he had been given. Despite all he had been through. If there existed such a progenitor - if such an overlord existed../For the sake of his Friend - who has suffered, and suffered, and suffered enough...
The God of War would take up arms, no matter how impossible the odds. Even against reality itself. He would wield the full force of 'War' against even the creators of it all.
Lucifer is alot of things - but most important of those?
