I kept ignoring this when YouTube recommended it to me because over the last decade I’ve gone from being a person who only wants to know the exact meaning an artist intended when they wrote a lyric to being a person who is comfortable with just personally interpreting every single song in existence as, on some level, a love song (being aro: it’s complicated) - anyway. This auto-played after something else and I’m glad it did because 1. It features Mitski singing the whole song acapella which is really lovely and 2. There’s something very beautiful about someone being playful with their own art in the same breath as they’ve shared an emotionally harrowing moment that led to its creation.
