See this is what I missed about Tumblr, posts where three different things I think about all the time are piled up on top of and inside each other.

when I was a teenager there was a second hand CD place really near my sixth form and I’d pretty often pass through it once a week or more on my walk from the college to the bus station where I’d get an hour long bus out to a tiny town in the country. someone in this little starter city clearly had some kind of industry connection because a really surprising amount of promo CD singles would turn up there, which was great for me. this was during the peak of chart indie and i would be inexplicably thrilled to find a promo CD single of an indie rock song with an instrumental version and a remix that you couldn’t get anywhere, officially. 

one of the stranger things to turn up was an interview CD with the lead singer of canadian band “the hidden cameras”. it’s a strange artefact. the hidden cameras are quite a cult band, you’d figure anyone who wanted to interview them could probably arrange to do so. the CD is just joel gibb’s answers - the unheard questions appear on the back of the paper CD-r insert as the track titles. one question is “Do you ever think about suicide?” and Joel’s answer is something like “I think about it a lot. Not thinking about doing it, just thinking about it.”

And I think about that a lot, too.
