Just One Word April Book Photo Challenge
Day 1: Outside
There’s this tree in my backyard that loses fuzzy yellow-white flowers every spring. It gets everywhere and, since it looks a like snow from afar, I like to call it Arizona Snow. haha. Anyway, I thought it looked nice with my current read, Summer Knight by Jim Butcher.
I love how Harry Dresden regularly faces down monsters that would make most people crap their pants… and is completely intimidated by Charity Carpenter.
WHEN I SPOT SOMEONE READING A REALLY GOOD BOOK ON THE TRAIN
It’s just like:
Reblog if you've ever yelled at a book.
Are there people who don’t reblog this?
I can only assume that the ones who haven’t aren’t reading the right books.
FUCKING BOOKS.
If it doesn’t make you mad, it’s not good enough.
☁️ White books ☁️
My English shelf right now. I am still waiting for 3 parcels full of stuff, including more books, and I really don’t know how to fit them all in there. Time for another round of bookshelf tetris!
Real reading is reincarnation. There is no other way to put it. It is being born again into a higher form of consciousness than we ourselves possess. When we walk the streets of Manhattan with Walt Whitman or contemplate our hopes for eternity with Emily Dickinson, we are reborn into more ample and generous minds. ‘Life piled on life / Were all too little,’ says Tennyson’s 'Ulysses,’ and he is right. Given the ragged magnificence of the world, who would wish to live only once?

I am made of flesh and bone and blood. I am also made of books.

The problem with books is that they end.

Have I mentioned how much I’m ABSOLUTELY loving this book???? I’m just about 20/30 pages from finishing it and I hope I can finish the trilogy before My preorder of Six Of Crows arrives!!!! 🙌🏼
