are you on hiatus for brace for it?

... i guess :< Since covid shut the schools down i’ve been homeschooling, but my job wants me to maintain my 40 hours a week, which is like, yay! I have job, but... then dang... i have a job and i have to school my kid, and... I just don’t have time to update. And I don’t want to make promises to anyone because I just don’t think I can come through right now D:

Will you be updating brace for it soon?

I want to update before Halloween... I just don’t want to make any promises. Since covid shut down the schools I’ve been homeschooling and working 40 hours a week so i’m just a wee bit stretched :<

I really am sorry, it’s not that I don’t want to update, I really am just slammed and don’t have much time.

Are you a mom??? because I saw one of your posts mentioning you have a mom life- sorry if I'm intruding I'm just really curious considering you're back in college and you might have a kid...?

You don’t need to feel weird or like you’re intruding. I’m happy to share aspects of my life. I have one kid, and he is 6. My college plans were put on hold because a job opened up that fit my first degree (woohoo! Also, goodbye Healthcare Administration Degree... I didn’t want to do you anyway), and I am much happier at my new job (old job was data entry/admin at a preschool... and when they were short on people I was in the classroom... with toddlers... yikes!)

I have done college and momming at the same time when he was smaller and that was rough period in my life... but that’s probably because I worked part time too.

Is beating the friendzone still active?

Yes... well... active is a strong word. I can safely say it is not abandoned. I think about it often in general so... I just work full time and have a lot of responsibilities outside of work that rears its ugly head and does not give me any time to update. I’ll push harder to update soon.

Yes. It’s active, I just seldom get on. I wasn’t getting a lot of traction since “the purge”

How do you feel about Fran's and fontcest?

Frans is what brought me here tbh. I mean, the fandom. I found the Flowerfell story through a google search engine because I was googling people’s artwork for Undertale... ok, honestly it all started with Pinterest... there I found Undertale art and I thought it was so cool, and so I was googling more art and stumbled across flowerfell. Which lead me to AO3. Which lead me to Poubelle’s TPI... and from there, I was in.

Fontcest... it’s not my cup of tea. I won’t shame others for it, but it’s not my flavor.

Just saw the Zombieland 2 trailer, thought of you, and came as fast as I could. Any thoughts, opinions, feelings on the matter?

Zombieland: Double Tap... Honestly, I was excited. I loved the original so much that having a sequel meant more zombie goodness. After watching the movie, it was good, but I still feel the first one just had that extra oomph. That being said, any type of parody on the zombie tropes is much appreciated. Have you seen Daybreak on Netflix?

Thanks! I got a new computer but now I just have to have time to sit down and hash out all the chapters. No computer... all the time in the world. Gets computer but is too busy to do anything. c'est la vie

Yes, I am. I wasn’t ignoring you, but Tumblr didn’t notify me that I had messages so I’ve been ghosting. Also my tumblr visits are kind of sporadic.

So, I was just curious. I have been following Brace for it since... I don't know anymore. Anyway, are you on hiatus, or are you just leaving the story?

Definitely not on hiatus. I wanted to post the latest chapter on october 31st... or whenever Zombieland: Double Tap came out, but I wasn’t able to finish re-working details, and then I was busy learning my new job and since then i’ve just been running and running and running... dear lord, i haven’t had time to stop, and more stuff is piling on my plate.

Just hang in there with me. We’ll see this story through to the end. I promise. I even wrote out the last chapter... I just have to do the in-between stuff.

Well, Tumblr failed me (i get on every 2 months or so) and didn’t notify me that I had messages... so that’s what’s up.

I’m alive. I’m doing ok... not having a depressive episode, just been busy with my job and my personal life. Been really thinking about my stories, and will write here and there but I don’t have enough content to post an actual chapter yet.

I'm not too sure if this account is still active, but I just wanted to say that your stories keep me up at 2 a.m. on a school night because of how amazing they are. I really admire your work and how that the best comes your way very soon. Have an amazing day uwu

Hi guys... I, um, well I have been dealing with a lot of stuff, and I have more things coming my way so im just going to be getting busier at this point. (Going back to college among other adventures)

What does that mean for my stories? Well... About that... So, I broke my computer... And um, didn't back it up, so everything I was doing may be lost... Along with thousands of photos... And um... I don't have a computer to work on, so... Until I get my computer fixed there really won't be any updates. Sorry for my readers... I still love you guys.

Hey I found this tumblr post where they talk about a story surrounding a character trying to find a still alive orthodontist, it was an idea and they titled it Brace For It. I was wondering if you took inspiration from that because I love you so much for making that story idea a reality because, goddamn do I love that story with all my being even if I wasnt in the fandom anymore your work is just too amazing to pass up on reading and UGHHH I JUST LOVE IT OKAY!??!

Hey what the fuck happened to all the net neutrality coverage

This shit is still happening people, and all of the sudden its disappeared from my dash almost entirely over night

I don’t know why, but I think people are automatically being unfollowed from the Net Neutrality tag. It happens to me every time I try to follow it. I’ll follow the tag, come back 20 minutes later & I’ll for some reason have unfollowed the tag automatically. I think this may be happening to a majority of people in an attempt to silence the resistance. Please take a screen shot of this post in case it gets deleted.

There is a reason that happens. Tumblr is OWNED by Verizon who is a leader in throwing money at getting rid of Net Neutrality. They have spent literally millions to bring it down so that they can charge you more, slow down your internet and block you from sites they do not deem appropriate. Keep sending in letters, emails and making phone calls. IF you post about it ADD links for FS!

I am so glad you enjoy my writings (ノ￣ω￣)ノ Brace for it is my favorite story but I'm sure that shows, hehe.I do not have an update schedule, usually I write when I feel inspired or have down time, but sadly I haven't had much of either (mom life yo)... And my laptop charger has been on the fritz, which is another problem in itself. Meh, I'm probably going to move everything in the next week to my Google docs so I can work off my tablet.

hmmmm…. well, aside from all the zombie trope nonsense… welp, this question is hard to answer… My most favoritest thing…

Writing the zombie fight scenes. That actually is more fun than I thought it would be, and I kind of wish there was more. Writing about shambling corpses with the coordination of a drunk year old toddler is pretty fun.

And i’m throwing in this freebie… my second favorite thing is that the title is a pun. When reader’s catch on to that... it’s pretty awesome.
