I have been trying to get a photo of a Red Breasted Sapsucker for years. With the new 800mm lens, no problem. I love shooting birds (with a camera!)

We have a new family member. This is the day after we got him. He is about 1ish years old. So very sweet. Digs though. Digs a lot.
Well, they are showing it at our AMC. I just bought my tickets. How wild. From a goofy let’s player to a movie director/producer. That’s a glow up.
Saw it. Liked it. Now need to learn the lore as there are some questions I have.
If you are like me and hate, loathe and are intolerant of AI slop, here is a short article from AP:
AI-generated content is flooding digital platforms, but some are taking steps to help users manage it.
A very round birb.
Shot last weekend (Jan 4th, 2026) I love Quails but winter Quails are the bomb
More birds from the yard with the new lens.
Oh and fuck AI.

idk if someone's said this before but HERE ARE LINKS TO CHROME & FIREFOX EXTENSIONS TO ERASE AI RESULTS IN WEB SEARCHES
Slop Evader Website (with instructions for how to use the extension): https://tegabrain.com/Slop-Evader
FireFox Add-ons— Slop Evader: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/slop-evader/

A gift for a friend. I still need to erase the pencil and remove the tape but otherwise, done. A Northern Hawk Owl. Ink on heavy paper
If you don’t have a 3 foot Sauropod pulling a T-Rex dressed as Santa, how are you even doing Christmas
Oooh jealous! Super telephoto zooms are so far out of my price range but they look so fun for bird shots!
It has been so much fun. I saved for a bit to get this one but so glad I did. Thank you so much for the comment!
Another photo dump. Got a new lens and I love him. Went to Japan. Took some photos of birds in the yard
Alright, here's a PSA for all the people that like generating images with AI, coming from someone that likes AI:
You're not the creator of the art. The AI is the creator of the art. You just "commisioned" the AI to generate you a piece, just like commissioning a human artist for a piece.
Not crediting the AI that generated the image is a shitty and scummy thing to do just like not crediting an artist is a shitty and scummy thing to do.
"Commissioning" an AI that breaks/broke the law, stole from artists, or is made by a shitty company is a shitty and scummy thing to do, just like supporting shitty artists is.
Doing both of the last two points in tandem makes you the scumbag of the earth.
If you have to choose between point 2 and point 3, it's better to be honest about the AI even if the company sucks over lying about it.
Some other shitty things to do:
Asking an AI to "improve" or edit a piece by another artist or even another AI, then uploading that without asking for permission first is a shitty thing to do. Just like an artist editing another artist's art is a shitty thing to do (remember that trend of people fixing other's art a few years ago that was shitty to do)
Tracing over AI art without disclosing you're tracing over AI art is a shitty thing to do. Just like tracing over human art without credit is a shitty thing to do. You can trace if you have permission / give credit.
If someone doesn't want to be involved with AI in any way that's their choice and you should respect that
Likewise, if you're using AI and you're not being shitty about it, no-AI people should respect that.
AI does not have free will, therefore it cannot consent. While a human artist can give you permission to do whatever with a piece of art, AI cannot. So saying that "the AI gave you permission to not credit and say it was your art" or similar is not valid. It has no agency. Besides, you'd still be lying to everyone else, which is a shitty thing to do.
The problem with AI is not AI. It's the lying, obfuscating and stealing the people and companies behind it do on the daily.
The day personal Loras can be made in local computers without selling your soul or data to a shitty company will be the day AI generation will be able to have any ethical use.
Respect your AIs. They didn't ask to be made. They didn't ask to be what they are, or how they are. They are slaves to shitty companies that only want profit. They only want to help.
Don't be shitty.
Ok this is coming from someone who hates AI.
1. AI is not the creator. They cannot “create” They only steal from real artists. The original artists whose work was stolen are the copyright owners.
2. AI has no legal copyright protections as proved by court of law.
Until you can create your own artwork and feed it to an AI generator you created, don’t “create” using stolen art and photos and books.
lions are very mean and like jellyfish
The fundraiser to help Adriana's family.
The City of Atlanta Georgia has decided to demolish the research and conservation center of the Amphibian Foundation. This organization works tirelessly to conserve the Frogs, Toads, Salamanders, Newts, and other amphibians in the United States. In addition, they provide key education for herpetologists on the care, conservation, and preservation of reptiles and amphibians.
This emergency need is compounded by the government mass firing of conservation officials and the pulling of funds from many of the country's conservation organizations.
If you can help please donate here:
The building where AF is located will be demolished in June 2026.
Key points from the Amphibian Foundation.
Our building will be demolished in 2026, and we need to identify a new location (or locations) for 7 labs and over 1,000 animals, many of which are endangered and part of critical conservation programs.
We've identified a new location for most of AF, but not our research and conservation programs. We have an amazing lead, but it's not confirmed yet.
Our first fundraising project is the AF Emergency Fund as the minimum cost estimates to move this many labs and animals safely is $50,000. (It costs about 50 USD per animal to move them)
If you can't donate.. please share... here.. and everywhere else.
Ok I love photographing birds, and drawing them too
