NEWEST VIDEO IS UP FOLKS...IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW ;)
The world has gone wrong...
For a long time now this earth has been torn apart in one place or another by war, death, conflict and massacre. Most of this is based in the name of religion, what is to be believed as moral justice and political righteousness. Women have been blamed & slaughtered for being raped because of their sex, gays have been victimised because of who they love, every day people are beaten down bloody for what they choose to believe in because some cannot stand to see diversity in their small minded vision of the world.
Power & control hide behind the banner of religion & politics. Those who have power or want it, seek to possess it by instilling fear and terror into society. They only believe in one divine power, that of their one God, and any who could possibly believe in anything otherwise are damned, deserve to die, should be punished. This is what they hold onto. This makes them feel big. Powerful. Knowing they are self righteously carrying out the law and wishes of their God, dishing out death to innocents whose only wish is to live their life peacefully with the freedom to choose their own path. This is what this earth has turned into. A blood bath. Humans killing humans, and has carried on through the ages since the birth of the species. The human race has a flaw. A hubris. We feel, hurt too much. Emotions make us passionate. Love, hate, violence, despair, hope...they make us want to live, to fight for a cause, what we deem to be right. But what is right? So much death and destruction, reckless killing. How can we unearth ourselves and stand up against it when there has already been so much under so many marauding banners of protest. We stand up & scream but our voices are not heard amidst the din. The truth has gotten lost in it all. The world is wrong because we are in it, but how can it be put right?

Maleficent Film Review
4/5
When I first saw the trailer for this movie my first thought was that it was either going to be stand out amazing or have an overload of special effects that made the plot look insubstantial…I was pleasantly surprised. With Angelina Jolie heading up the cast list this is a Disney movie most definitely worth sticking around for.
For those familiar with the 1959 Disney classic “Sleeping Beauty” and looking for the fresh take, this is not it. If anything it’s a more in depth adaptation focusing this time on the villain, with the same characters and parallels back to the original with a new and refreshing narrative story. The phrase “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” could not be more relevant here as we see the mysterious uber villain Maleficent begin her emotional journey as a young fairy girl, falling in love, being betrayed and ultimately battling the consequences of her actions.
The title role is fantastically played by Angelina Jolie, honestly it’s like they made this movie specifically for her! She defines the character so brilliantly with a little help from the wardrobe department she becomes a striking presence on set, those high set jaw bones, the iconic horns, the staff and the sweeping cloak echo the original we all know and love so well but with added complexity which makes her character all the more interesting.
One of the things that will really get you about this movie are the visuals. The CGI and special effects are literally out of this world. You can really tell Disney put a lot of time and effort into making the scenery and set look completely magical, throughout you are caught up and suspended within a whole new fantasy land complete with tree folk, elves, fairies and castles that do well to not take much away from the plot and keep you in awe of what’s going on.
Other performances in the film, although slightly dimmed because of how fantastic Jolie is, include Elle Fanning who plays the sweet and innocent Aurora and Sharlto Copley as the broken King Stefan. There are also the three fairies as seen from the animated movie but with different names, Thistletwit, Knotgrass and Flittle who do not add much to the story except for some comic relief and perhaps end up getting slightly on your nerves.
If you’re looking for comparisons, for example the recent Snow White & The Huntsman or Oz The Great & Powerful, Maleficent goes that little bit further in creating a new and believable plot line as well as a fantastical universe that includes the best Disney villain there is. If you were a fan of the original, this film doesn’t forget about it. Be sure to look out for the subtle parallels but don’t expect it to be the same.
