Artโs PoV #5 - Moral (part 4) Gasuke
The next course of actions Moral does are quite... funny, to say.
To me them don't make any sense, let's start with hasuda arata
What's the point to have a whole gay crime group to assault an onsen?
I mean, ok the guy worked there, okay theo and rei were there as well, but like... why?
Was it only for decoy? Like.... was something Moral planned from the start or was it only the natural course of actions of creating more minimum's holders?
I don't know, but the only thing I'm sure about is the whole episode saw the return of the real Gasuke; his actions toward Art are more genuine and his concern for his boss's health is appropriate given the situation, as well, we know that behind the scenes the fake!Gasuke is trying to hide the whole mess he did with katsuragi plus stealing the forbidden minimum.
But there is also another thing I'm concerned about: the police shifts.
Taking in account how Moral was quite always near Art, I find strange how Gasuke and Moral never crossed each other... only to remember that Momoka have access to the police station plus Sakurai inside following her orders. It was only natural to think that she hacked all the infos she and Moral needed... as well as how Art was going to take his time off to go to the cemetery.
Years ago, I talked about how he was basically a loyal customer to Momoka's Anemone shop since it was on the road for it, she know well when Art was going to the grave and for Moral this was a second hand information, he didn't know if Nice was there too but surely he left the flowers for Art to find them.
And it's not a solo occurrencies but two.
He mock-killed the furry man near the police station "I'm one of yours" as well as the analyst to cover... his weakness of heart I will say.
For Art to snap now it was a matter of time given how many losing battles he had to endure until that moment and Honey told him episodes earlier that "people are going to die because of you" was a new nail for his tomb (lol) for once she saw way more far in future than she usually does.
And here again... Moral stolen the forbidden minimum... but the next behaviour is weird to me: Nice, Art and Gasuke went to the crime scene were the two friends verbally fought off, but instead of doing whatever experiment Moral had to do... he went to the burned down facility and then to the cemetery.
Art thanks to Three took back his reasoning and went to the facility as well, finding the cosmos and deducing that Moral returned there only to travel to Skill's grave.
But this is curious to me... between these scenes a lot of time passed, more than a day in fact. Now I'm here thinking... who the heck spend an entire day waiting with a creepy bouquet in hand under a tree for someone to come?
If it was for Nice it wouldn't have take a lot of time, and yet the young genius failed to realized this (maybe he was upset for having the whole beef with Art?)
Instead, it was only natural for Art to be there, he was very well prepared not to arrest him as once he shout but very well inclined to at least wound Moral enough to make him unable to cause any more harm to society or to people in general.
Funny enough, I find interesting how the two of them 'talked', once again Moral was throwing in half truths and occasionally a lie (the meaning of the cosmos)
Let's be honest, apart the flower's mean if we take in account Moral being similar to Nice, would you see him asking Momoka which flower smell like hamburgers? Then which flower smells like sweets? I can imagine this weird conversation between the two criminals.
Anyway, the man once again was hit by the sharp comments of the young one. No matter what Moral is indeed trying to avoid troublesome talks and emotions which are making him feeling alone, saving Nice continues to be his excuse. So how he can regain fastly control over the situation? Over Art?
Of course is to make him know that the people he trusted for so long were always him!
Art's major and sudden mental and emotional shift started here but it wasn't very well played giving the staff's situation at the time, it was carried over in re: hamatora but it lacks context if one didn't saw the first transposition.
We know that Art definitely refused Moral's help, but he knew it was only a matter of time for him to gain his minimum... so how to win this confrontation if not to enforce the power by brute force? It resolved a lot of problems: 1. It would make a long lasting feeling to always be present in Art's mind 2. He can finally put the police at peace by using Art's appearance 3. He can finally proceed with his goal about Nice 4. More freedom for his plans.
The most hated moment of the season happened, not only Art was stabbed but shotted not 5 times as everyone thought but 8, on top of that.
Homoerotic violence to its peak honestly, and the cherry for it was the golden gun Moral had at the time. Like it was the last thing Art recalled till Re:
Let's talking for a moment about Moral's encounter with Nice: the latter found him thanks to honey in his own apt, now if you are a maniac of details like me (but you probably aren't) you know that the condo where Moral lives not only have a view on the Yokohama's park attractions... but on the police station as well. This guy was near the whole time and could see inside the windows with a stupid telescope. If this isn't dumb...
Anyway, for the two to talk at cafรจ nowhere didn't take long and also the questions Nice ask to Moral were pondered for a long time, in the end he saw the crime scenes he left and Moral had no reasons to lie (he only did twice or thrice in the whole season) especially about Art's fate.
Moral despite being apparently alone at the cemetery did informed Momoka to reach for him (or maybe she was just curious to know what her dedicated customed would look like under the rain, who knows) certain it is that she had to take Art's body on her own unless he gained enough strenght to be back on Momoka's home with his own legs (and then crushing down for a whole week).
Now taking the riot aside and Takahiro's death just to hurt Nice, it is obvious how Moral's actions are completely opposite to what he preaches about: he swear to save his favorite but if he openly denied to recognize Art's friendship with Nice, he doesn't with latter and he goes as far as to tell him that he indeed killed his friend Art and that once again if was a trivial thing to him, guess why.
(And let's not forget how he beat Murasaki'ass meanwhile)
Now for the end os the season it was only natural given the forbidden minimum power that Moral would end up dead
but I will end this post with Gasuke's ep in Re: hamatora.
We know that Art was completely different, he was always on his own despite the hamatora group, the only person he trusted was Gasuke, thanks to Moral he was now feeling betrayed and paranoid to the point he avoided everything about police, he didn't care about being subjected to disciplinary action, he didn't care that for three months he was M.I.A. and that the whole department was searching for him after Moral's death, he was avoiding a truth which was enforced to him later: he could have avoided being deceived if he just saw that Gasuke had the same gun as him and not a golden one.
So Honey was right: people will die because of you.
