Bat Blue (or Bad Blue) from Violence Fight - a fighting game by Taito, with terrible English, which - being from the 80's - pre-dates the main surge of beat em ups which came out in the 90's. Bad Blue is a total forgotten hunk! The game itself is not so great, but kinda fun.

Zangief sketch

Zangief is probably the very first video game character that I ever became a fan of and that dates back to 1992, when I bought Street Fighter 2 for my SNES.  However, I’ve never actually drawn the bear-wrestling Russian before.  So I thought I would have a little fun with this one and I don’t think you can really draw Zangief properly without going completely over the top with his musculature.  There is a bit of awkwardness with the pose and some tangents where I simply ran out of paper to draw on, but it’s just a sketch.  I’ll probably do a more well planned out Zangief drawing later.
