Tonight @itstristancate and I attended a school board meeting to express our concerns with the closing of #gatewoodelementaryschool as well as many other neighborhood schools. These are the email addresses of our school board officials, more information is available at okcps.org, I really want my daughter to attend #GatewoodElementary, but even if you don't have kids this still effects you as a citizen of this great city, many of these schools received MAPS benefits, Gatewood alone received 2.7 million in renovations, the money saved per school in this proposal is estimated to be about $250,000 per school. In my opinion, MAPS is still working in full effect, and if you want your tax dollars to come to full fruition closing these schools would be a massive setback. Please email our school board and express your concerns with these consolidations. #SaveGatewood (at Gatewood "Gators" of OKC)
