This is amazing and the most comprehensive compilation I've seen yet and really underscores just how fucking screwed Musk is.

Like, it seems very obvious that Elon Musk, being a moron who only cares about status and has only a vague idea of how anything works, did not really grasp that the blue check mark is not a sign that someone is important, but a sign that they have proven to Twitter that the user is who they say they are. And so he thought he was coming up with a clever way to charge people to be marked as important, and instead he gave people the ability to pay eight dollars and credibly impersonate elected officials, celebrities, and major corporations. And also, don't forget, him.

And the fact that he did this after laying off all the people who handle this sort of quality control, and the fact that he rolled it out in under a month, and the fact that he was much quicker to block people impersonating him than people impersonating others, and the fact that there were absolutely no effective safe guards in place...

...yeah, the lawsuits are going to start hitting the courts in the next couple months, and the Congressional hearings might just start before then.
