Never realised how many things in common Agatha Christieās and P. G. Wodehouseās books have. But I love finding the similarities, especially when they refer to each other books or quote the same poems.

a delightful portrait. and a kitty cat
Blank smile into the abyss
I view Lou Reed's Berlin as beautiful the same way someone would view something like Romeo and Juliet as beautiful. Both being tragic, poetically written, and unique in their themes and story. Despite the narrator of Berlin being an abuser and the 'antagonist' of the story, I think the album has a lot to say about depravity, poverty, and moral ugliness.
I'll be thinking "oh I could work on this a little more this isn't good enough" then I remember that this is the fucking google notes app and my finger on the phone screen
If I was Lou Reed I would be trying to do stuff with John Cale
If I was Nico I would be trying to do stuff with John Cale
If I was Kevin Ayers I would be trying to do stuff with John Cale
If I was Brian Eno I would be trying to do stuff with John Cale
If I was Lou Reed (1990) I would be trying to do stuff with John Cale
maybe if you didn't want people to think you were gay you shouldn't have repeatedly compared all of your romantic partners to lou reed and referred to the velvet underground as a marriage and also literally moved into lou reed's old apartment as soon as you divorced your third wife. just a thought
