Anyone up for an RP?
It’s been awhile and I want to get the ball rolling again.
Tricks and Demons
Oscar flinched from the loud scream, placing his hands to his head. When he saw the demon attack Seth however, he moved forward quickly, spurred into action when he heard his friends cry. He couldn’t risk throwing any energy at the demon because of how close Seth was to it, so he rushed forward and tackled the teen. @rebellious-roleplays
Oscar’s attempted was successful, pushing the demon off Seth’s back and is now trying to wriggle itself out from under the wizard.
Now that Seth was free, he tried to pick himself up but any movement caused the burns on his back and arms to flare up in pain. He managed to glance over to Oscar who had the demon trapped beneath him. “Get...him in the...circle!” He managed to get out while gesturing to the circle with the other demon trapped in it.

Oscar nodded slowly, glancing around the small village, “Best find the inn quickly,” he whispered, arms wrapped around his torso to keep off the wind. @rebellious-roleplays
Seth nodded before continuing through the village until finally stopping in front of a building with a sign that read “River Rock Inn and Tavern”. The younger wizard glanced over at Oscar before stepping in side.
Once inside, they were greeted to a mostly empty tavern, but with a woman, probably between the ages of 50 and 60, behind the counter. She looked up at them and unlike the rest of the villagers they’ve encountered, she actually seemed quite pleasant.
“Oh hello. What can I get you two boys?”

Tricks and Demons
The demon glared furiously at Seth, helpless as he was being surrounded by the trap. He tried to use his power without moving the body, but the most he could do was create a gust of wind. Growling in frustration, the demon attempted to aim his wind in Seth’s direction.
Oscar choked, hands tightening around the teen’s wrists hard enough to bruise. He kicked at the demon, losing focus quickly. Using his magic, Oscar gave one final shove strong enough to throw the teen’s body across the room.
@rebellious-roleplays
The demon tried once more to throw the boy off but wasn’t quick enough. Without being able to use his vessel to direct his focus, he had little luck aiming his attack at Seth. As soon as the trap was complete, the demon screamed with an earpercing force.
Oscar moved a hand to his own throat, gasping and choking. There would be bruises there for sure. As soon as he could see properly, he tried to stand, stumbling a bit against the furniture. Looking around, Oscar noticed the demon going for Seth. He tried to shout for Seth but his throat was still tight and his voice came out barely more than a whisper.
@rebellious-roleplays
The volume of the scream forced Seth to cover his ears in an attempt to save him from rupturing an eardrum. But in that distraction, he wasn’t able to catch Oscar’s warning so he wasn’t prepared for the demon to slam into his back, knocking him to the ground. He tried to get the demon off of him, who was pinning him on his stomach, but soon he felt an intense heat coming off the demon’s hands that burned straight through his sweater and searing his skin, causing him to cry out in pain.

Oscar glanced to Seth with a confused look before he too looked down and remembered Excalibur, “Oh…uh.” Oscar glanced down at himself and shrugged, “All I have is my cloak,” he said, undoing its ties before handing it over to Seth. They were almost to shelter now and he could find another when they got to the village.
@rebellious-roleplays
Oscar wrapped his arms around his torso, looking in the direction of the smoke, “Agreed. I don’t want to be out here when it’s really dark.”

After a short while, they finally arrived at the village. It was quite small, settled on the banks of a small river. However, it was large enough to have some sort of an inn.
Walking into the village, Seth could already see the strange glances from residents that they received. “They uh...must not get a lot of visitors...” he whispered to Oscar.

Seth focused as much as he could on the creation of the trap, making sure it would be strong enough to keep the demon contained. However, the strong gust of wind caused him to stumble, creating a small falter in his concentration.
The force of Oscar’s magical offence was powerful enough to send the demon almost completely through a drywall wall, which would give Oscar enough time to stand back up before the demon regains itself. But at this time, the other demon decided to focus on Seth, sneaking behind him and preparing to attack.

Seth kinda felt bad for taking his teacher’s cloak, but as soon as they get a room at an inn, they’ll figure something else out for hiding the sword from others. Taking the cloak, he took Excalibur out of its little scabbard, energy still radiating from it, and wrapped it a few times in the cloak, effectively shielding it from view.
“Alright,” he said, returning the sword to the scabbard. “Lets get a move on before something else finds us.

Oscar sprinted after Seth, thankful that he was blessed with a lean figure. He still held the spear and had apparently decided to keep it. It would make a nice staff too now that he though about it.
Feeling the burn in his lungs, he was glad when Seth decided to take pause. He paced in a circle as he tried to catch his breath, free hand pushing his curly bangs from his sweaty forehead, “Agree,” he managed, glancing around the forest.
@rebellious-roleplays
Oscar shook his head as he looked around before looking up to the tops of the trees to see if he would catch a glimpse of something. He pointed quickly to some rising smoke from a nearby chimney, “There. Maybe there’s a village near there.” He glanced to Seth with hopeful eyes. He didn’t want to stay out in the woods any more than Seth did. They both could use a good rest after today’s events.
@rebellious-roleplays
Seth almost breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the smoke. But then he remembered and looked down at Excalibur at his hip. It probably wouldn’t be a good idea if they just walked into some random village with a sword of legend. “You wouldn’t happen to have some extra cloth, would you?”

Tricks and Demons
The demon smirked when Seth hit the wall. He stepped forward, ready to push Seth through the wall this time. He froze when Seth stood and started to draw energy from around him. He flinched and ducked but didn’t get far before his body was thrown to the ground by the force of Seth’s attack. His vessel refused to move, the demon screaming in frustration from within.
Oscar barely had enough time to reach up and grab the demon’s wrists, fighting with all his strength against him. He was forced back from the weight of the demon pushing against him and tripped over his own feet, bringing them both down onto the hardwood floor with a solid thud.
@rebellious-roleplays
With the demon now paralyzed, only then did Seth realized that he did not know any exorcism spells on hand. He knew there were a few in his grimoire, but that was back home, not knowing he would need it this evening. But isn’t life funny that way? The best he could do right now was try and contain it. Seth focused once again and began to burn an entrapment circle around the demon.
Now that the demon was on top of Oscar, its hands immediately went around the wizard’s throat, slowly growing tighter to cut off air flow or to even break his neck.
@professorpinto
Oscar: We need to be very careful, demons are extremely dangerous.

As soon as he felt like he wasn’t trying to cough up a lung, Seth looked around them to try and gain a bearings on where they were. However, from leaving the Keep a different way than when they came in, as well as frantically running away from the horsemen did nothing for his sense of direction.
“You wouldn’t know where the nearest village is, would you? I’d rather not spend the night in the middle of the woods if I could help it.”

Tricks and Demons
Oscar threw his ball of light towards their attackers, making sure to launch another one as soon as the first left his fingertips.
The boy stepped to the side to avoid the first ball of fire, knocking the second away with his power. He glared at Seth and tried to force him back once more.
@rebellious-roleplays
This time, Seth wasn’t fast enough to raise a shield. The force from the demon threw him back against a wall, back hitting it with a loud thud before collapsing to the ground. Slowly, he pushed himself back up and glared at the teen. “Okay, thats how you want to play...” Focusing his energy once again, he concentrated on the electrical wiring of the house, and soon arcs of electricity poured out of sockets and lightbulbs and arced towards the young wizard who then redirected towards the demon. The level of electricity Seth was using wasn’t lethal towards a human body, but it would definitely paralyze.
When Oscar released his attack, one teen was hit square in the chest, knocking him back, but the other dodge and flung himself at the other wizard, hands outreaching towards his throat.

Oscar cursed under his breath as he looked around them for somewhere to hide. There was nothing but woods and the keep, and there was no way they were going back into the keep. He didn’t have enough magic to cast a glamour either.
Taking in a deep breath, Oscar looked to Seth, “Run.”
@rebellious-roleplays
Taking Oscar’s advice, Seth took off running in the opposite direction of the advancing horsemen. Excalibur hanging on his hip made running extremely awkward, but what choice did he have?
Once they deemed to be a safe enough distance away from the Keep, Seth finally stopped running, bending down and resting his hands on his knees in order to catch his breath. Running while low on energy did nothing to help his stamina. “We’re...going to need to...stop someplace...for the night...I’m practically running on nothing...but...fumes...”
