Spit-balling ideas or dreams I have because I need to tell someone, but I'm nervous.
[Just as the title says. Some of these dreams or ideas are either old or fresh, and some may be based on fandoms.]
Sometimes, when feeling the body, you feel skinny, chubby, whatever you feel and wonder- "is that really my body?" No, it's the one you killed and took along the way.
I had a dream where Wildernessa and Kelsey were shrunk down (except for Mortimer) and had a tiny adventure- until the arm(Jackie) took them and brought them over to the overpass where Maya was standing there for some reason (no Green Poncho) until something attacked Maya and Jackie (I dunno, bear-like creatures? Could be the scouts trying to get new badges while dressed up as bears) That's when Mortimer comes back(he probably flew away for bird seed) Wildernessa and Kelsey get on, and they fly away.
I had a dream where Dillons was basically closing and I got some individual packaged donuts of five characters from CN (I remember Pink Panther and Bloo being there,) and Dillon's had most of the area closed besides the front which almost looked like a gas station with all those prepackaged snacks and candy. The rest of the dream followed Ben and Kevin bickering about something, but before that, some creature that crawls anywhere was helping Edie from Craig Before the Creek with product shipping. Okay, now the rest of the story: So basically Ben from UAF and Kevin from OV were bickering over who gets to nurture five alien babies- with their younger selves being taken care of by them, which younger Kevin is more well-behaved and dressed in light blue, while younger Ben is more... rowdy and dressed messy. So basically found family, with UAF Ben taking care of Younger Kevin, and OV Kevin taking care of younger Ben.
Last night, I had a dream where I was at a fancy version of my school, as I was in this "age regressing" class and I apparently end up in a paper drawing at the end, only this dream looped twice. After that, I had a rich girlfriend who took me to this retro but also futuristic arcade diner(which glowed blue and was similar to Braum's) where we got to eat food; I had chicken strips while she got to try every food available(while staying skinny), which I wanted to do so too- so I listed off the desserts (which there was like 7) from the coupon and she requested it, but I noticed there was a question mark, to which I looked to my left and saw an Icee machine, but opens up to reveal a secret gaming room, one computer was blue on the left, the other red on the right.
Tadc x Gen Rex au: Rex would be Caine, though who fill in the roles of trapped humans, or bubble? (Idk).
So uhh... it's been some time, and.... I want to say I'm sorry. Because I have been so busy with school and family matters, that I've practically had no time to even continue writing the fanfic.
The Secret Saturdays: Kur!Doyle and the Terrible Tuesdays au.
so. This started as a "if Ben 23 was a little more morally lax, then what about the Saturdays?" And more things involving Ben 23. But this stands on its own as an entire The Secret Saturdays AU.
Doyle and Drew family roleswap + Outline/not!fic/episode redos under the cut
Backstories first.
the attack at the Blackwell's camp on the Himalayas ended different.
Doyle ended up being raised by mystical monks and Drew got "the orphanage world tour".
Doyle eventually becomes the sole cryptid expert in the Secret Scientists. He's more "live in present" and good at wrangling, finding the cryptids and getting them safe with trusted locals. Very charismatic. Not overly interested in the historical research or the biological aspect of it. (Unless he got hit with venom. Then he's an expert.)
Drew bounced around growing up, fighting her way through the world. She never forgot the beast in the snow that attacked her family. So she learned all she could about cryptids, got shady jobs trafficking animals, all trying to find the one that ruined her life. Historical research is a vocation and a hobby, if you know where you've been, you know where you're going.
Doc knew what was going on at Honey Island when he was a kid. Unethical experiments to mix cryptid DNA with human and create super soldiers. So if he's a little more callous and reckless, it's just because he knows that people want results. They want the weapon first, then the cure.
Doc got a headstart on "searching for Kur using its own DNA" by about 20 years. But it's just a plain cryptid tracking device. Kur doesn't show up until it's actively influencing a cryptid.
Doc decides to steal a Komodo dragon and alter it with cryptid DNA to test the tracker. Doc tinkered a little more to add invisibility just because and kept Komodo as a pet. Something went wrong and Komodo is now the size of a horse instead of a large dog.
Doc originally supplied Drew with weapons and advice for dealing with cryptids. He likes that she gives him actionable performance reviews. She likes that he doesn't question too hard why she throws TVs. With a mutual bond over cryptids, they have a great partnership and later a loving marriage.
Due to health complications from a difficult childhood, Drew can't have kids. Doc shrugs, "well. I'm helping my wife have a child, that's not illegal at all." And goes into the lab, whips up a viable mix of his and his wife's DNA, and grows it in an Echidna egg just for fun. Drew also had fun carrying it around in a sling and helping it hatch.
Zak is the sweetest boy~. Due to paranoia, his parents train him in basic self defense. He can make a smoke bomb from household ingredients by the age of 5. King of pragmatic fighting. His parents keep his existence very quiet.
Fiskerton was an accident. The Tuesdays did hear about the Fiskerton Phantom and decided to have a family trip to "search" for it. They didn't expect to find Fisk and for Zak to adopt him. Just in time - the next night panicking townspeople set the forest ablaze. (Doyle thinks that the Tuesdays stole Fisk and torched the place for fun.)
With all of their boys, the Tuesday parents are getting softer. Drew gets to dote on the family she never had. Doc sees an innocent curiosity that he hasn't had in a long time. It's still a little stressful but they all love each other.
The scientific community views the Tuesdays as specific science equipment designers with an "interest" in cryptids. Doyle doesn't interact with them because he can build his own equipment and get help from the Secret Scientists if needed.
Argost tapped the Tuesdays a few times while he was building Weird World - second opinions on house security and design for a combo cryptid prison and TV show set. Doc still has the building and security plans. The Tuesdays are wary of Argost. Zak is still the only one who consistently enjoys watching Weird World and keeps up with Argost's movements.
I'm going to explain the joke. All of the Tuesdays are "fake" Kurs, references to real world mythology + show lore.
Doc creates and commands monsters also he's named after King Solomon. Komodo is a serpent-ish dragon. Drew likes to ride Komodo into battle, and a woman on a dragon was an actual interpretation of Kur. Fisk is a "Kur Guardian", mistaken for Kur in canon due to his picture on the Tomb. Zak has no real myth ties, but I'm sure that being a mammal that hatched from an egg like an Echidna (named after Greek mother of monsters) means Something and we can make it mean something.
(Zon also doesn't have any myth or canon ties, but she's best girl so we can let that slide.)
And finally Doyle. Who is Actually Kur.

(And since the Tuesdays are essentially taking the place of mercenaries. Van Rook is "good". Well. Technically on the side of good as a "supernatural economist". He found a loophole and as long as he justifies his research on "the morphogenic field" on "the world economy", Wall Street/billionaires who want to keep themselves on top of the market keep funding his lifestyle. He's not important to the story and doesn't interact with Doyle too much. Abby ousts him and gets to chill with the Secret Scientists as an "alternative revenue stream" just in case.)
NOW TO THE SHOW EVENTS!
Doyle does get to the Kur Stone, but right before it's dug up, Argost sneak attacks and drains Doyle's energy with his Devonian annelids. When the Kur Stone is dropped, the wave of energy released by it goes to the nearest empty host. Doyle was close enough to something not quite alive or dead. Because of all of the commotion Doyle didn't catch that he was feeling different.
Doyle and the Secret Scientists raid Weird World for the Kur Stone. It still doesn't go well.
Doyle takes his recovery time camping out in the Amazon. He bonds with a family of ornithocheirid pterosaurs while burying his part of the Kur Stone.
Years pass. Doyle works alone, so no one notices that his eyes glow or that cryptids tend to follow his lead. He realizes that the energy was from the Kur Stone, but he doesn't know if it's a curse of Kur's design or a gift to defend the world from Kur since the Map was revealed. For that reason, he keeps it from his coworkers and has a convenient pair of sunglasses on him at all times.
Argost makes his move for the pieces of the Kur Stone. He hires the Tuesdays to fight Doyle. Doyle is only one person, so Doc was the one to fight him. Drew does pause at his photograph and looks very closely at his personnel file for a bit though.
in the Amazon, Argost doesn't notice that Doyle has cryptid-influencing powers but still gloats. Zon comes in the clutch. Doyle decides to keep Zon with him for backup.
At the Ice Caverns, Doyle starts to get flashbacks about the attack in the Himalayas. Doesn't hesitate to try and save a kid that got lost in the snow while there's a monster around. Doyle flips on his sunglasses and helps guide the Amaroks back into the burial mounds.
Zak notices the glow on everything, "Wait. Do you already have control over cryptids? What's the point of the Stone and finding the Tomb then?"
"Look, your dad's a scientist, right? One point of data isn't enough for proof. There's really only one way to find out if-," I am, some part of him asks, "I can control Kur, and that means following this until the end."
"And you want to do it before Argost convinces Kur to destroy the world." Zak huffs. "Yeah. Tough deadline. Well. Thanks for the save. I'll be going now."
"Yeah. You owe me. Do not tell your parents about this."
"What, I just say I magically guided feral cryptids back into their burial mounds? You're a good guy, you can't go encouraging me to lie to my parents!"
Zak lies to his parents.
Things continue. Drew finds Doyle in the field, recognized him. Doyle does not want to believe it and retreats to get more information.
He calls anyway and sets up a meeting. Argost ambushes the meeting. All of the adults swear not to try again, saying they need something more to trust.
Zak hitches a ride with Argost, sneaks into Weird World and steals a piece of the Kur Stone. Zak shows up at Doyle's place.
"Here's the Stone as a offering so you trust us. And also I'll stay the night so Mom and Dad trust you!"
Doyle throws a phone at him. "Call your parents. I feel like the Doomsday clock is ticking."
So now there's an alliance. The Tuesdays keep researching and giving Doyle information. Kind of like feral cats giving him dead birds.
Zak and Fisk keep seeking Doyle out to be "babysat". But mostly it's an excuse to hang out and give Doyle information from their part of the Kur Stone. There's also rumbling of "investigate your boss Argost". "You know it's just a few commissions right?"
"Cryptid VS Cryptid" happens. Zak encourages Doyle to reveal his powers. Argost still gets away with the carving on the wall.
The Tuesdays are revealed to the Secret Scientists. No one is happy about it. Doyle's powers are also revealed and there's more distrust from the Scientists to Doyle.
The Tuesdays continue to send Zak, Komodo and Fisk over for date night. They research a little more. Zak gets confirmation that Doc's cryptid tracker lights up for Kur when Doyle uses his powers. The Tuesdays decide to keep it quiet.
Drew meets with the monks that raised Doyle, they talk about the "Beast of the Himalayas". Drew takes a quick stroll around the mountain. Drew suddenly has to talk to her family.
Doc calls for a meeting between the Tuesdays and the Scientists. He's with Komodo only and presents collected info about Argost's past. He confirms that it's "a 90% chance he's a Yeti." And another "95% he's killed people before and on his way to TV fame and fortune."
Zak calls and interrupts. "SHE'S LOOSE!" Drew took her shot to fight Argost for vengeance. Zak and Fisk go after her and Doc and Doyle race to catch up.
Fisk gets kidnapped. Drew is injured. The Secret Scientists refuse to go back into the Nightmare Factory. Doyle agrees.
The Scientists concur that they brought enough evidence to officially arrest Argost. The Blackwell family has justice.
But it still doesn't stop Argost's operations, at least not immediately. Doyle watches Weird World's promo and hears Fisk.
He goes and he finds the Tuesdays staking out Weird World. "I'm sorry. I know I didn't support you then."
Drew hugs him. "You're here now."
They update the strategy. Drew and Doc will go in first, getting into the security system through their back doors, trying to locate Fisk that way. Doyle next and loudly announce that he's still after the Stone, but actually go after Fisk. That should split Argost's focus. Zak would follow after Doyle.
"I'm supposed to stick with you. Make sure you don't see-" Zak catches himself.
Doyle was very busy asking the insects where Fisk was. The security system crashes. Doc takes over the intercom and directs Doyle to influence the insects onto one wall, "it's a load bearing one. Should slow him down for weeks for repairs. And Fisk is in the next corridor."
Doyle overhears Argost, Rani Naga and Fisk. Drew gets her picture of the Kur Stone. Everyone makes it out.
Except Munya, as they find out later.
Drew sends her picture of the Stone over. Doyle and Zak go on a field trip to figure out why Fisk was on the carving. since Abby is just an economist, it's a boys trip.
The Nagas attempt to pull the Atlas Pin. Doyle introduces Zak to Uraj and they hit it off well. Argost hired Drew to fly the plane so he can search with his newly acquired Kur detector.
Argost does not make it off the plane. It crashes spectacularly and directly into Naga territory. The Naga guards left behind find a Yeti in bad condition.
Despite the Tuesdays being very civil recently, (it's amazing how calming fulfilled Vengeance is), the Scientists argue that they can't be trusted - they might follow Argost's footsteps, seeing as they've worked together several times before. Since they have the "Kur Guardian" they might withhold Fisk or convince him not to do his job of protecting the world from Kur.
So. "Shadows of Lemuria" but this time, Doyle convinces the Tuesdays to convene with the Scientists. Fisk still has issues and makes robots. Since Argost is out of the picture, Rani Naga and her followers show up as the third antagonist.
Doc's cryptid tracker gets stolen in the confusion. Rani's Kur detector gets fixed.
Finale "Kur Rising" happens. Argost is alive + half mad that the Tuesdays killed Munya and attempted to kill him. He says he "finally understands" what Doyle is. And he will not obey.
Doyle and the Tuesdays fight and win against Argost and the Big Red Antarctic cryptid.
Doyle is revealed to be Kur. The Tuesdays are like, "Huh. That tracks." And move on.
"C'mon Uncle Doyle. We gotta patch up the injuries and put Big Red back in the ice."
"How are you so calm? I'm literally the evil treasure at the end of the map!"
"Oh. It was always a possibility." Doc says. "Just not probable. You're already an expert in cryptozoology, we can't exactly steal you from yourself."
"Unless we're talking personhood and philosophy of identity." Drew hugs him. "We don't want that. We love you just the way you are." She says, all sickly sweet, incapable of being sincere without couching it in a joke.
"huh. Should we...fix this?"
"Well. Kur protects his kingdom. You're still protecting cryptids. But we should probably get a canister or something set up in case you die."
"and it was 5 minutes before you mentioned my death. New record, good job."
They tell everyone Kur was Big Red, it's too much hassle to take it out of Antarctica, and they'll find a way to get the power extracted + properly sealed. Life goes on.
the secret gets out anyway.
Doyle is an adult, so there's no attempt to train him good or seal him away in case he turns bad. More pressure on finding a way to extract the powers though.
slight drama when Doyle finds out that Argost killed his parents and split up the family. That the Tuesdays already tried to kill Argost.
It makes him vulnerable for Argost to grab. "War of the Cryptids" happens on schedule. (Idk who would die tho.)
Life continues.

Look this is all an excuse for All-Powerful Cryptid King Doyle being the secret line of defense against aliens in the Ben 23 universe. He controls atmospheric jellyfish and knows when ships come into orbit. He can beat back the Incursean invasion.
That pipsqueak child star Ben 23? Yeah he can be taken down a peg. Watching the Intellectuary and his cronies get beat by a kid every week? Comedy gold.
(It's Beeman's department to intervene and interact with the Plumbers and any aliens. He has been ignoring the paperwork for literal years. Doyle can't do much legally, doesn't know the full issue, and he's got his hands full with cryptids anyway. He's still mad on 23's behalf.)

(No worries, I'm still working on the fanfic over on AO3- it took me an embarrassingly amount of time to notice the link wasn't working- plus I've been occupied with family and our traditional Christmas gambling.)
To the people who liked my last post, I finally made it; The fic is called "My version of Craig Before the Creek,"(which I might change it later on.) I'll be honest, this is my first fic and the first chapter is a bit rushed, but I'm open for advice since this is my first work.

Would it be cool if I wrote an AO3 fanfic about the prequel movie; Craig Before The Creek- but instead of Craig being 8-9(because it didn't make sense for him to be older when in flashbacks it's shown that he's been in Herkleton for a long time) he's 4-5 and sees Serena as an older-sister figure even though she'll use that to her advantage as manipulation?
