we're gonna hit a heat record for the second day in a row in austria. over 40 degrees celsius. and in the comment sections of the news posts there's still so many people being like "oh that's just summer" "and by winter we'll need to turn up the heating again" "all just a scam" "it's always been hot in august"

and like. i am a pretty young person. but even i remember that it didn't used to be like this. do all these people really not remember that we used to get snow in the winter? for more than 2 or 3 days. even close to the city, and enough to build igloos with. do they really don't remember that the grass used to be green here, in the summer? healthy and soft and not yellow or brown and dead. that we considered 30 degrees to be absurdly hot, that we aren't used to get over 35? that there used to be fewer floods and hailstorms and droughts? do they really not remember?

am i crazy?
