The things I do for this list.
Find Yourself, a song by Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real on Spotify
Linkās rec is a song, Find Yourself, by Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real (Lukas Nelson is the son of Willie Nelson). The premise of the song is a lot like Linkās line, āyouāre a sweet peach, know your worth.ā
Three outlandishly wild witches return from 17th-century Salem after they're accidentally conjured up by some unsuspecting pranksters!
Rhettās rec on episode 261 is a millennial classic: Hocus Pocus. If you have Disney+, itās available to stream there.
PARKS is a celebration of the US National Parks created in partnership with the Fifty-Nine Parks Print Series. If you love the National Parks, you will love this board game! In PARKS, players will take on the role of two hikers as they trek different trails across four seasons.
Linkās rec in episode 260 is what he was originally going to recommend in the board game episode before...well. Yeah. š¤Ŗ
Me, yesterday: āOkay, starting tomorrow, Iāll catch up.ā
Today:
Me, today:
Rhettās rec is very simple: make time for yourself. Isolate yourself with yourself. āYou may not be in a position to travel right now...but thereās just something about giving yourself some space; releasing yourself of expectations, responsibilities, the need to accomplish something and just letting yourself off the hook and really spending some time just discovering yourself.ā
Linkās rec in episode 258 is Zephaniah OHora--specifically this song, previously mentioned in a Society AMA. The artist reminds both the guys of Merleās music so you know heās a winner in their books.
When carefree Nyles and reluctant maid of honor Sarah have a chance encounter at a Palm Springs wedding, things get complicated when they find themselves unable to escape the venue, themselves, or each other.
Rhettās rec in episode 257 is this absolutely incredible movie Palm Springs. Personally, I watched it a few months back when it was released and itās a beautiful story. Only available on Hulu.
A rural electronics whiz broadcasts radio signals into space and monitors for signs of aliens, but makes a more important connection here on Earth.
Linkās rec from episode 256 is this 16-minute documentary that made Rhett tear up.
Shared via Kindle. Description: ā„ā„How to Win Friends and Influence Peopleā„ā„ is one of the best selling self-help books ever published. ā„How to Win Friends and Influence Peopleā„ is a self-help book written by ā Dale Carnegieā , published in 1936. Over 30 mill...
Rhettās rec (and very much not Linkās rec) in episode 255 is a book he was reading at the time of recording the episode--How To Win Friends And Influence People.
š¶and isnāt it ironic...donāt you think?š¶
As you might be aware, there was no rec in episode 254 because our boys had a very serious discussion. That said, hereās a very important question:
What board game do you recommend?
The official home of the greatest game you've ever played: Spikeball. Sets, Balls, Combo Meals-- we've got the hook up.
Linkās rec in episode 253 is Spikeball. Itās like āa hula hoop with a net stretched over top of itā with āvolleyball rulesā. Also, Rhett would like tetherball to die.
Iām personally a fan of Calvinball to be honest.
Just Mercy - #JustMercy - Only In Cinemas
Rhettās rec in episode 252 is the film Just Mercy, which is based on a true story. (Side note, I have seen this movie and it is both haunting and powerful.) Link also mentioned The Hurricane as another excellent film to watch.
Shared via Kindle. Description: With "virtuosic vulnerability" (The Atlantic), the iconic bassist and Red Hot Chili peppers co-founder pens a love letter to a youth spent wild in Los Angeles in his raw and riveting coming-of-age memoir. In Acid for the Chil...
Linkās been reading Fleaās autobiography and is his rec in episode 251. Itās good toilet reading.
Take the TUSHY Travel portable bidet to work, school, or that over-priced festival you regret buying tickets to. This travel bidet goes where you go.
So, in episode 250, both Rhett and Link recommend bidets, Link ordered a portable bidet and Rhett recād it himself. Link talked up the Tushy specifically.
āSo clean you feel it in your throat.ā - Linkās testimonial
But seriously, if you donāt have a bidet, get one. It honestly is a game changer.
Craving something sweet and spicy? Shop Blue Diamond's HabaƱero BBQ flavored almonds for a delicious bold flavor you won't forget.
Linkās rec in episode 249 is Blue Diamond HabaƱero BBQ Bold almonds. Allegedly, theyāre not actually hot, and theyāre better than the Sriracha AND the salt and vinegar.
Directed by Marielle Heller. With Tom Hanks, Matthew Rhys, Chris Cooper, Susan Kelechi Watson. Based on the true story of a real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Lloyd Vogel.
Rhettās rec in episode 248 was A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. He watched it recently with the family and everybody cried. (Which makes sense because Mister Rogers is a certifiable kind-hearted legend.) Itās currently available on Starz.
Link had seen the documentary Wonāt You Be My Neighbor and thatās an incredible look at the life of Fred Rogers. (Listen, Iām going to hype literally anything that has to do with Fred Rogers. Itās in my blood.)
Bonus rec to watch Twister (CLASSIC), make out with your partner in between and then watch A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.
