Ok, so I’ve seen things here on Tumblr as well as on Twitter about today’s ear biscuit. Now I know that I’m a very emotional and very empathetic person. I can hear and read a person very well, social cues not so much, but emotions dead on.
What I haven’t seen is anybody talk about the fact that Link mentioned because he was raised just by his mother, he was afraid that he was going to be the one who made them broke because he spent money on something, and I assume just being afraid that he was the problem in general.
Every time after mentioning that he had this hurt in his voice and I haven’t heard a single person mention it and it bothers me because part of me feels like no one cares that he was upset and at the same time it’s just another reminder that I constantly over analyze things and that I just care too much. I feel the same emotions as someone else no matter what and so when someone-and in this case Link-feels bad, I feel bad and at least if you’re like me it’s kinda obvious that he was upset, like it may have gone away after shooting but I’m certain he was upset at the time.
When Link mentioned that he was afraid that it would be on him and be “all his fault” I almost started crying. Like how often do you think Link was told that it was “all his fault” in his younger years? They make jokes like that now (example: In the vlogs) because that’s just who he is you know, he messes up like the human being that he is and he’s come to understand that. It makes me want to snap some sense into him though, to tell him that he’s loved no matter if he makes a mistake, that he’s earned where he is now and doesn’t need to feel guilty for things.
You don’t need to be validated to feel good Link Neal or anybody and everybody else who reads this!!😤😤😭🥺
Me, yesterday: “Okay, starting tomorrow, I’ll catch up.”
Today:
Me, today:
Rhett and Link telling each other they can't use their portable urinal/bidets but they can watch...
ear biscuits 265 (thoughts)
Rhett being the sort of guy who buys everything, and Link being the sort of guy who puts of purchases as long as possible. <3
Link saying he wasn’t going to mention buying socks, because he thought it was too boring and SURELY Rhett wouldn’t have anything like that! LOL
Rhett “sort of” suggesting that Link could cut his hair, and Link saying “I’d gladly cut it!” :)
I side-eyed at first, the Amazon purchases and links, but you know what? It’s actually interesting, and we search out the things they buy sometimes like clothes, so why not peek into what else they buy themselves, links provided from them? :-)
Rhett not knowing why you need rope in a survival situation, but saying it’s “apparently very important” so he needed to buy it. <3
Link calls himself out for “grilling” Rhett (and himself) about purchases. Feeling like he’s going to be interrogated in a courtroom / inner critic thing. “And here I am, putting it on you.”
(i’ll post more when I finish the episode later. maybe.)
Eye rub.
EB265
Our 2020 Amazon Purchases
(Argh, he actually did it again later but the camera was on Rhett the whole time. Who can I fuss at for this? Kiko? Jacob? *narrows eyes and frowns at you*)
im just saying, if Link had my experience with mythical dot com he would rage
Something you'll miss if you don't listen to the audio-only Ear Biscuits is Link asking Rhett how far he'd go for a friend, and Rhett saying he'd go all the way, whatever Link needs. And of course Link took it to be sexual.
