Be patient and firm on those days that are against you, and with that both days will end up being for you.
Shaykh Ahmad Musa Jibril (حفظه الله تعالى)
There is a time for everything, And a reward for those who are forbearing. Be patient, O troubled soul, Even if your insides are tearing.
— rectifyingsouls
"The woefully life is a bridge leading over an ocean of doom, so you had better be serious about learning to swim before passing over it, because you can never be certain that you will not slip off it, or encounter a storm that blows you off the bridge into the water. Thus be wary of it despite how safe you feel in it, and expect its sorrow in spite of your contentment with it."
— Imām Ibn al-Jawzi (رحمه لله)
The War on Gaza
The war on Gaza has not ceased — it has merely morphed into grimmer, more insidious forms.
The bombs still rain from the sky. The children still perish. The siege tightens with each passing day.
And now, atop the shattered remnants of homes and lives, the assault has transformed into a war waged through starvation, through silence, through a deliberate and merciless neglect.
This is a war waged not only with missiles, but with malnutrition. With blocked aid. With the deafening quiet of a world that chooses to look away. As Gaza bleeds and crumbles beneath the weight of destruction, the world reclines on cushions of indifference.
Let history bear witness: While Trump is an active participant in the war on Gaza, he is warmly welcomed in Bilād al-Haramayn and now boasts of extracting $5.1 trillion in jizyah from the Tawāghīt in the Gulf within mere hours — a sum vast enough to drown every inch of Palestine in tanks and saturate its skies with warplanes. And yet, these same Tawāghīt cannot muster even a handful of grain, a vial of medicine, or a drop of clean water for Gaza’s children.
Qatar’s Taghout awards Trump with a private jet — and no one dares to ask: Why not send aid to Gaza instead? Why reward a man who emboldens those who bomb us? Why empower those who cheer our devastation?
Where are the voices that once roared for Gaza? Where are the influencers who leveraged Gaza’s agony to build their names — only to vanish when truth was no longer profitable or popular?
The betrayer in Bilād al-Shām cozies up to the Zionists and the U.S., all the while crushing those who strive to raise the banner of Tawḥīd — fulfilling his bay‘ah to his new amir, Trump. The rest remain silent — a silence that echoes the stillness of the grave. Are we to endure this passivity until the genocide leaves none of them alive?
The media's gaze has turned elsewhere. The opportunists have disappeared. But the sincere — those who stood for Allah alone — must not falter. Now, more than ever, they must stand beside their brothers and sisters in Gaza, unwavering in loyalty and steadfast in faith.
Today, Gaza suffocates — in silence, in isolation. And yet it remains a gaping wound upon the conscience of this Ummah — festering with every moment of neglect and apathy.
Ya Allah, they have transgressed throughout the land and spread corruption far and wide — so unleash upon them a scourge of Your punishment.
Ya Allah, humble — and afflict with even greater suffering than that borne by the people of Gaza — those who call themselves Muslims, yet cast their vote for Trump.
Ahmad Musa Jibril Dhul-Hijjah 4, 1446
"It’s sufficient to know that truly resisting the haram desires elevates an individual to a status so high in ranking, where if he were to swear by Allah سبحانه وتعالى in need of something, Allah سبحانه وتعالى will fulfill it.
When you think about the seven categories of the people whom Allah سبحانه وتعالى will shade under his throne on the day when there's no shades except His, in that famous hadith that you all know, you’ll realize when you reflect on that hadith that the common denominator among all seven categories—the reason they earned that special shade from Allah سبحانه وتعالى—is by resisting their desires."
— Shaykh Ahmad Jibril حفظه الله
"Some people live their whole lives for sports.
When you see them or you talk to them, they can tell you everything about sports. Whether it's soccer, football, or any other sports. They can tell you about the players more than they can tell you about the lives of the Sahābah رضي الله عنهم اجمعين.
Their laptops and their phones, both externally and internally, are filled with information and pictures about their favorite players and teams because that’s what they’re truly passionate about. That’s their entire world and that’s their life. Their focus and goal is on the sport of the season. They connect to matters pertaining to sports and disconnect from what doesn’t pertain to sports. They put their energy to activities that don’t involve Allāh سبحانه وتعالى.
You sit with them and open topics other than sports and they’ll show no interest. Talk about the Qur’an and Sunnah—they’re disconnected from that because they’re connected to something else. A Mutabaadil’s mindset differs significantly from that of a businessman or a sports enthusiast or anyone with any dunya pursuit no matter what it is.
A Mutabattil finds joy in his ‘Ibādah and he experiences sadness when he misses on a moment that could be spent in ‘Ibādah. Their constant pursuit is to seek refuge in Allāh سبحانه وتعالى. Their talk and interest is about Allāh سبحانه وتعالى. And the status of Tabattul is a constant presence in an individual's life. It remains with one at all times in every location. It’s not a part-time thing. A Mutabattil might be physically among others, but their soul and spirit is wandering around the ‘Arsh of Allāh سبحانه وتعالى. They interact with people through their appearance and speech, but deep inside they’re filled with a sense of Allāh سبحانه وتعالى greatness and majesty. They celebrate with others in their happiness, yet their heart with heavy with fear and respect for their Lord. They feel sorrow alongside others, but their spirit is filled with peace and joy in what Allāh سبحانه وتعالى has decreed. They’re like a presence that’s both there and not there."

So-called "Muslim" Influencers
It took exactly one year of the war in Gaza for these pathetic Muslim influencers to begin endorsing and buying/using brands that support Israel and finance the war. This is the state of our Ummah. Where money outweighs the blood of innocent Muslims.
It shouldn't be surprising, really. The very fact that they are influencers should speak volumes. Yet, it's upsetting. It shows that their intentions were never sincere; it was all driven by a fear of getting "canceled."
May Allah bestow victory upon the oppressed Muslims in Palestine and across the globe. May He incur His wrath on the oppressors and shower His mercy on the oppressed.
These sins are an echo of internal state, Plunging my soul into an abyss of despair, How can one complain what their hands create, When their actions appear devoid of care?
— rectifyingsouls
"The Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم was asked which of the people are tried most severely, he didn’t say it was the oppressors, tyrants, Fussāq, sinners, or Kuffār. He said “The prophets.” He said, “The prophets and those who come next to them, then those next to them.” He صلى الله عليه وسلم made it clear that a man is afflicted and tried according to his Īmān. If his Īmān is firm, then the trials are more severe.
— Shaykh Ahmad Musa Jibril
"Lives of children, women & men may be lost. Towns may be leveled, but we are an Ummah that quickly recovers. We gather the pieces. We quickly catch our breath. We wipe away our sorrows. We heal the wounds. And we set out from where we stopped from. Raising the pure banner of Tawheed, moving forward, regaining our lands and our dignity and our pride."
— Ash-Shaykh Al-Imām Ahmad Mūsā Jibrīl حفظه الله تعالى
"No matter how strong your enemy is, no matter how much power they have, no matter how much they have under their control—if you stick steadfast to the formula that Allah gave you, your victory is one hundred percent eminent."
— Ash-Shaykh Al-Imām Ahmad Mūsā Jibrīl حفظه الله
Foreword by Shaykh Ahmad Jibrīl حفظه الله
"This humble effort is intended to clarify the general ruling on the issue of free-mixed, secular universities, with a more specific focus on the attendance of Muslim women. Additionally, it aims to respond to doubts brought forth by those in the Ummah who have been affected by the low standards and lifestyles of the disbelievers. We ask Allāh to make it beneficial for all who read it, and that it be sincerely for His sake." [Author's Introduction]
"I encourage all of our sisters, brothers, fathers, and mothers to read this book and share it with their respective families… It leaves no room for the feminists and modernists alike to bring forth their futile and flimsy arguments…"
— Ash-Shaykh Ahmad Mūsā Jibrīl حفظه الله [Foreword]

Following The Kuffar
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “You will most certainly follow the ways of those who came before you, arm’s length by arm’s length, forearm’s length by forearm’s length, hand span by hand span, until even if they entered the den of a lizard you will enter it too.”
They said: “O Messenger of Allah, (do you mean) the Jews and the Christians?” He said: “Who else?”
[Sunan Ibn Majah 3994]
Look at the state of the Muslims today, SubhanAllah. How rare it is to find a Muslim that does not follow each footstep/popular trend of the Kuffar.
لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله
One of the greatest blessings: to witness “partners in crime” evolve into “partners in Khayr” (إن شاء الله).
The sibling bond is unmatched in its uniqueness. After (and even during) all the squabbles and fights, in the deep depths of the night, it’s always:
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلأَخِي وَأَدْخِلْنَا فِي رَحْمَتِكَ وَأَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
"My Lord, forgive me and my brother and admit us into Your mercy, for You are the most merciful of the merciful." [7:151]
They used to tell us: when nobody is there for you in life, you will turn around and see your siblings standing behind you. And by Allāh, we only ever found that to be true.
[Allāh] said, "We will strengthen your arm through your brother…” [28:35]
May those who we shared a womb with share with us in the delights of Paradise. May Allāh سبحانه وتعالى have mercy on our parents, for after Islām and Tawheed, the best gift they gave us was each other, and of the most precious lessons they taught us, was the value of such bonds.
They say “blood is thicker than water”. We say لا إله الا الله is thicker than both. But what a Ni’mah when you get two in one!

Working For the Hereafter
"Woe to you; death is like clouds, and grey hair is its raindrops. Whoever reaches the age of seventy would complain of pain even without reason, and so the sensible person is he who wakes up in fear, because he realizes the nearness of death. O you, this life is behind you, and ahead of you is the hereafter; and to seek what is behind is a retreat and a defeat, whereas victory lies in advancing forward with strong will. The flood of death has arrived so embark for safety onto the ships of righteousness and do not accompany the "Kan'an"¹ of hope. Woe to you, pay heed and start benefitting yourself from your lifespan, for how long is an earthly creature to live in confusion?"
— Imām Ibn al-Jawzi (رحمه لله) __________________

Be Dutiful To Your Parents
We're so occupied with growing up that we often forget our parents are growing old. We're busy choosing what colleges to go to, studying for exams, and applying for jobs, but we don't notice our parents just want us to sit down and talk to them. We forget to lower the wing of humility over them as they did to us when we were children.
How many sleepless nights our beloved parents endured for our sake yet we fail to do a simple task for them on command? There will be many painful days where we'll regret not obeying them while they were alive, and it'll eat the insides of us day and night. Respect your parents, help your mother, talk to your father, and convey your love to them because a time will come where it will feel like you didn't do enough.
May Allah forgive us for our shortcomings and grant our parents long, healthy, and happy lives full of good deeds.
“And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honor. And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say: ‘My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was young." [Al-Isra 17:23-24]
The Muslim with No Da'wah
"There is a difference between a real flower that gives us a scent and a plastic flower that looks good but only carries the name flower. There is a difference between the two. The real flower, you put it in your house, it has a nice scent, it looks better. But you also got a plastic flower, it looks very good, but there is a huge difference between the plastic and the real flower.
The Muslim with no Da'wah, the Muslim who does not ordain the good and forbid the evil, is like that plastic flower. Looks good, he is still Muslim, we are not saying he is not Muslim, looks good too because a Muslim is always good Insha'Allah. However, he is like that plastic flower. The one who ordains the good and forbids the evil and does Da'wah like those we mentioned, the task of the Messenger, the task of the Sahaabah, the task of the Jinn and even the task of some of the animals. The one who does Da'wah is like a real flower that has a scent and it is more delightful to look at and it is more preferred to have in your house than a plastic flower."
