“Just imagine how beautiful the Qur'an flows out of the blessed vocal chords of the Prophet Muhammad ‎ﷺ Imagine with me how mighty, dignified and humbling the words of Allāh were flowing from the lips of the Prophet Muhammad ‎ﷺ.

You go on the internet and you see a clip of a child or a famous reciter reciting Qur'an and your heart trembles. You can't turn it off and you listen to it a second and a third and a fourth and a fifth time, over and over again. That child reciting or that famous reciter got the Qur'an through a series of men over the course of fourteen centuries, so just imagine with me how beautiful the Qur'an flows from the first man Allāh revealed the Qur'an to.

Imagine how beautiful it was from the man who listened to the Qur'an from Jibril 'alayhissalam.”

"It’s sufficient to know that truly resisting the haram desires elevates an individual to a status so high in ranking, where if he were to swear by Allah سبحانه وتعالى in need of something, Allah سبحانه وتعالى will fulfill it.

When you think about the seven categories of the people whom Allah سبحانه وتعالى will shade under his throne on the day when there's no shades except His, in that famous hadith that you all know, you’ll realize when you reflect on that hadith that the common denominator among all seven categories—the reason they earned that special shade from Allah سبحانه وتعالى—is by resisting their desires."

"The Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم was asked which of the people are tried most severely, he didn’t say it was the oppressors, tyrants, Fussāq, sinners, or Kuffār. He said “The prophets.” He said, “The prophets and those who come next to them, then those next to them.” He صلى الله عليه وسلم made it clear that a man is afflicted and tried according to his Īmān. If his Īmān is firm, then the trials are more severe.

Liven Your Heart

Liven your heart in longing to Allah by regretting the past that went either in vain, the past that went with no worship, and the past that went with some sins.

Regret it enough to ignites repentance which entails yearning to worship Allah. After you remember and regret and repent, put a period on your past and start a new sentence.
