âYou flatter me,â he sighs, his steps mirroring his partnerâs as they twirl past the curtains and escape into the chilling night air. Faint music ebbs away into crickets and the rustling leaves, and he clasps his hands under Kaeyaâs loose silky hair, entangling in its midnight tresses. âSpoiling me almost.âÂ
The crisp coldness nips at the back of his neck as a gentle tug pulls away his braid and a starry eye crinkles up in a humorous crescent.Â
âOh, I could do much, much more, if you were to insist,â he whispers, pressing the silvery braid against his mouth.Â

Anyways, anyone like ballroom dances and disguises? Because I do, I'm addicted to it :DDD
This is my first time posting one of my art on here. This is my Genshin Oc for Natlan, before it was released.
She was an archon with the dragon being her âfamiliarâ, makes more sense when it comes to her back story. She is a pyro user and wields a Macuahuiti like a claymore.
She has some Aztec and Mayans elements in her design and back story and a pinch of Dia De Los Muertos.
Sero chuckled and shook his head, holding the torch in his other hand. âKaminari, you know I love you like a brother but those lyrics,â He rubbed the back of his neck with a smile. âYeah theyâre terrible.â
Before Kaminari said a word, Bakugo spoke. âShh.â Bakugo held his grand up to stop the crew. The eerie silence of a ruined tower sent a chill down their spine. The only noise they heard was a steady drip of water and the squeaks of rats and other pests. âStay quiet.â The young prince peered over the stairs and only saw the steps disappear into the void of darkness.
As the small group continued their descent down the flight of stairs, Bakugo noticed the sudden change in the air and atmosphere.
The air felt too thick to breath but also felt to thin, the atmosphere was getting colder and colder the more they went down. He started to worry about Kirishima and Ashido. If they stay in a place this cold for a long period of time, there bodies will go into hibernation mode.
Bakugo looked back at the group when he heard quiet crackling and smirked when he saw Kirishimaâs and Ashidoâs eyes, chest and throat slightly glowing. The group could feel their body heat increasing, which helped them continue their journey down.
Finally, they reached the bottom. Sero moved the torch around trying to look for the entrance to the treasure.
Kirishimaâs ear twitched when he heard wood creaking under his weight. âGuys, I found it.â He got off and the group stared at the entrance. This is it. Once they open this hatch, theyâll come face to face with the creature that guards the Demon Kingâs treasure. Once slain, they will claim the treasure in the name of the Dragon Kingdom.
âGet ready and be on guard. We donât know what weâre up against.â Bakugo could feel himself sweating when Kirishima lifted the rotting wood off the entrance. They peered down another flight of stairs that seemed to be swallowed by more darkness.
Bakugo, once again took the lead, walked down the steps. He could hear rats scurrying around and squeaking when the group walked down. He quickly looked to the left when he heard water running and a bit of splashing. Iâm the center of the room was a pond but the water was completely pitch black. Gold, armor and other precious gems shone and twinkled when the light of the flame hit it.
As Sero followed, his trembled a bit when he heard squelching under his boot. Lowering the tourch, he saw that they were walking on black goo. âGuys wait,â He said quietly, making everyone stop and look down. âWhat is this stuff?â
Something growledâŠ
Everyone slowly looked up to see the goo from the pond rising. As golden yellow eyes and razor sharp teeth formed, the group get into there battle stance, weapons drawn and pointed at the creature.
Its eyes slightly squinted at them, carefully eyeing their weapons, another low growl coming from its throat.
âGraaahhhhhhh!â The prince yelled and ran straight at the creature, swinging his sword at it, clashing with a tentacle that it sprouted. The contact between his sword and the harden tentacle sent sparks flying. The sparks managed to snap the group out of their stunned trance and they joined the blonde prince in the fight.
It didnât look good for the group. As they fought on, they grew fatigue. Their muscles ached, their breathing rapidly, their hearts beats in their ears. âIf only I can shapeshiftâŠâ Was Kirishimaâs thought. âThis fight couldâve ended faster.â
His pointed ear twitched when he heard Bakugo yell painfully. Looking at his rider, his eyes widen when he saw the creature slowly lifting him up, its mouth opening ready to consume him.
His once ruby red eyes turned into a deep crimson color, pupils turning to slits, throat and eyes glowing because of the fire brewing. With a flap of his large wings, he flew straight at the tentacle that constricted the prince and sliced it in half, making the creature screech in pain.
Kaminari lifted his sword up and was hit back. âKaminari!â Ashido leaped up and caught her friend. With the force the creature had, it sent her flying as well, making the duo hit a pile of gold, sending coins and gems flying. A box fell from the top of the pile and opened, it played a gentle song as a wooden couple slowly spun in the middle.
The creature froze in place which gave Sero and idea. He quickly scooped the music box and closed it, winding the key up and holding it high above his head. âHey!â The creature looked at Sero. He sweat a bit and opened the box. The music began to play once more.
âSeroâŠâ Kaminari whispered.
âShh.â He said. âThere is nothing to be afraid of, mi amigo tinta.â He said softly and began to nervously walk to the creature. âWe are all friends here. Amigos.â He offered a small smile seeing the eyes looking sad.
The creature laid its head down, softly purring to the melody of the music box. Sero placed the box down and slowly walked away, helping Kaminari pick the dragoness up.
âWhat the⊠where is it?â Ashido pointed where the creature was and it seemed to have disappeared. It even confused Kirishima who was carrying an unconscious Bakugo.
âI donât know but we should grab what we can andâŠâ Kirishima and the group looked at the once pitch black water, that was clean and clear now, when they heard some more splashing and saw three tentacles come out but instead of the tentacles looking like black goo, they were yellow with blue spots.
The tentacles gently wrapped and held the music box and brought it over to a woman with dark hair, who ascended from the water. Her tanned webbed hands held the box close to her scale covered chest as bright yellow eyes stared at the dancing couple spinning in the middle of the box.
The group didnât know what to do or say. They were stunned at how taken aback by the fact that she was the creature. She was the Demon Kingâs pet?
There once was a prosperous and magnificent kingdom. The kingdom was an envy to the others that surrounded it. It had lots of land, food, and water and the villagers were happy and safe.
That is they were safe from each other.
No one dared to commit crimes against one another, if you did, youâd be punished by the king.
You could be killed for anything. Stealing a neighbor's chicken? Killed. Verbal threats to someone? Killed. Accused of adultery? Killed. As beautiful and happy as everything may seem on the outside, everyone was miserable and sad on the inside.
Constantly walking on eggshells whenever they see one of the king's followers patrolling the streets. For an easier sentence, the people offer anything they want to them, and maybe they will imprison you instead.
With this much power, the king thought himself as a god but the people of his kingdom never saw him as one but as a demon. So, behind closed doors, they nicknamed him the Demon King.
Villagers spread small rumors about the Demon King. Like how he traded his soul to the devil to gain this much power or even worse, how heâs the embodiment of a demon himself.
How could they not accuse him of such? Besides having power over the people, he has taken control of two found dragons and a sea creature. If he did make a deal, these were merely gifts. If he didnât, he created them himself.
The creatures reside underneath the castle where theyâre chained up until they are needed. The dragons are for war and the sea creature was used to punish the guilty. Whether you were as guilty as can be or innocent, they all met the same shared fate.
More rumors spread that the sea creature lulls you to your death with a sweet serenade that often triggers a beautiful old lost memory from childhood. Then you willingly walk into its arms where youâre dragged down into the deeps.
Even with the reputation he has, he has to eventually reap what he sowed. One mundane day, the villagers saw a newcomer enter the kingdom. They tried to warn him not to enter or stay but when they heard he was there to see the king, their blood ran cold.
The newcomer said that he was there to solely challenge the Demon King, which he did. Once the newcomer revealed himself to be the Kingâs brother, a war broke loose. The villagers fled from the kingdom to safety and the ones who stayed behind to fight by his side told the story.
Just as expected, the Demon King awoke the dragons he had. The scales are as white as snow but their eyes are as red as the fires of hell. No one thought that the brother had a chance until his dragon rose, scales as white as snow but the eyes are a brilliant blue. As the King and his brother stood at a standstill, the villagers had the chance to get a better look at them and their beasts.
Although the brother was the younger one, his dragon looked bigger than the two the King had, which put him at an advantage.
Once the King made the first move, all hell broke loose.
The bloodshedâŠ
The bodiesâŠ
The unnecessary carnageâŠ
It ended with the King being defeated and the dragons being freed from his control. The brother took up the crown of the corrupted King. Many feared that heâd be the same but were proven wrong when he moved them away from the forsaken and ruined land.
In a different part of the land, he built a new kingdom from the ground up. The once small kingdom grew over the years with its past shrunk further and further into nothingness. Their stories were merely that, just stories that were told by parents to scare their children into behaving, but even that lost the fear.
The Kind King, once he grew old, gave his crown to another and once he grew old, that king gave it to another, until it reached Lady Mitsukiâs head, who wedded a baker and gave birth to a prince named Katsuki Bakugo, who one day will inherit the Dragon Kingdom.
Nowadays, itâs rare to hear a proper retelling of what happened to the Demon King and his kingdom but one story caught the young princeâs attention: The Demon Kingâs Treasure. Many have ventured into the ruined castle of the Demon King himself, but none ever returned that is until the Dragon Prince and his group of adventurers defied all odds by finding the treasure and slaying the cursed creature.
