— Lemony Snicket
Some things are easier said than done
“Have you ever platonically fallen for someone? For the things they say and how they can always cheer you up, no matter the circumstances? For how you can count on them and the way they get so enthusiastic about the things they love? Have you ever watched someone without them noticing and just felt your heart burst of love for everything they do and everything they are, feeling incredibly proud to have them as a friend? Have you ever been in awe due to the feeling of being blessed by the sheer existence of another human being?”

I am we
Be careful who you open up to. Only a few actually care, the rest are just curious.
i don’t want puppy, rom-com love. i want love that has faded with time like a well-worn, sun-stained pair of jeans. i want love that has been washed and put out to dry more times than we can count and we still stick around. i want old love, bickering and pet names and inside jokes and albums of memories. love that doesn’t ask for anything in return, that just asks to be reciprocated. messy love where i steal your clothes and make you pay for dinner sometimes and make out with teeth when i get tipsy. i want love that has survived the test of every possible element and still stands tall. i want love that will outlive is. i want legacy, old-people, fight-all-the-time, make-up-sex love.
