How is the United States perceived where you live? 

Most of the time it just isn't. People rarely comment or discuss the US, unless something especially dumbass happens and gets into mainstream media.

In general, it's thought that the US has issues it needs to deal with. Sometimes it seems as if it's completely detatched from reality and the rest of the world.
