daily reminder day 295: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and he just got home from a very draining day of work. when richie sees him from the couch, he instantly moves his laptop out of the way and holds his arms out for him. and who is eddie to decline the comfort of his husband holding him? he curls up in richies lap and lets richie hold him, and he’s thankful that richie doesn’t push him to talk about it. later, richie decides to make eddie a relaxing bubble bath and a glass of wine to wash the day away. and afterwards they end the night with ordering chinese food and cuddling on the couch watching a cheesy movie that they make fun of throughout. eddie passes out at some point with his head on richies shoulder, mouth slightly open and close to drooling on richies old t-shirt. and richies more than happy to pick him up bridal style and carry him to their room. where he tucks eddie in the comfort of their bed and getting in beside him to cuddle him. this was just the kind of night eddie needed and richie is always happy to give him that. because he deserves it.

daily reminder day 254: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now his hands are cold, a common thing with him unfortunately. good thing he has a husband named richie tozier is literally always fucking warm. so the logical thing to do is to stick his hands under richie’s arm pits for warmth, which he admittedly likes doing. it always makes richie jump when eddie does it because his hands are always so goddamn alarming freezing. so he always ends up taking the hands from under his pits and protectively cups eddie’s smaller hands in his bigger ones before bringing them up to his mouth to softly blow warm air into them. it does the trick and, well, eddie likes this method too.

daily reminder day 255: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and he’s like high as hell right now. perched in richie’s lap (who is also high). like seriously don’t ask him about nothing of nothing because he can barely say anything without laughing really hard. he feels great though.

daily reminder day 248: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now he and richie are pretending to be a toxic couple fighting in one of the kitchen stages in Ikea. they sneak little smiles and winks at each other between the fake insults that make butterflies and heat swarm his belly and he just knows they’re so gonna make out between meaningful, little “i love you”s after this.

daily reminder day 249: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now he’s hugging and cuddling his husband. richie isn’t having the best of day and when eddie asked if there was anything he could do to help, richie just asked for eddie to hold him; so that’s what eddie did. richie has made a lot of progress in coming to terms with his feelings and dealing with them, finding it’s okay to ask for help. eddie knows he can still get stuck on verbalizing it all, so he knows not to pressure him on it. eddie knows richie will once he’s ready, and for now eddie will hold him and do anything he can to make his husband feel safe.

daily reminder day 250: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now he’s laying his head on richie’s chest and listening to the comforting sound of richie’s heartbeat going against his ear as they cuddle on the couch together, richie asleep above him.

daily reminder day 251: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now he’s thinking about how he used to be so afraid about people seeing him and richie out in public showing any kind of PDA. he used to be anxious about what all the bad things people would say and the looks they’d be given. it was based off of past trauma, he knew that; growing up in a homophobic town will do that to you. richie was patient with him during that time, and eddie wonders what he did to deserve someone so amazing as him. after some time and of course therapy and richie’s words of affirmation, eddie came out his shell slowly but surely and now he doesn’t care what people think, doesn’t care if they hold hands when walking down the street and stopping in the grocery store just to kiss his now husband. all eddie wants to do is show his richie off and let people see that their love is stronger than any hate. eddie’s proud of himself, proud of them both.

daily reminder day 252: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now he and richie are setting up the area for their new bunny that they spontaneously bought today.

daily reminder day 253: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now hes drinking his first pumpkin spice latte EVER. he thought it’d be fitting since it’s now autumn and he figured he’d like it. except he doesn’t. and now he’s mad. also why the hell is it still 80 degrees out?

daily reminder day 240: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now he’s laughing his ass off because he just snuck behind richie in the kitchen (who was standing there looking out the window while eating cereal with his back to eddie) and scared the bejesus out of him, making him yell and drop his froot loops on the floor. eddie knows richie is gonna get him back for this, he knew the consequences when he decided to do it, but eddie found that he didn’t care and felt like being a menace. yeah, totally worth richie (playfully or course) chasing him around the house.

daily reminder day 242: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now he’s screaming because he really needed a good scream. after hes done he decides to go back to coloring in his adult, anxiety reducing coloring book, his therapists suggestion. the coloring, not the screaming.

daily reminder day 243: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now he’s on the phone with richie and close to falling asleep after talking for a few hours. richie’s in another city right now for a big meeting, he won’t be home until the next day. but embarrassingly enough, eddie can’t fall asleep without him. and even though richie isn’t really /there/ with him, he’s at least on the phone and they’ll probably both sleep like that through the night. because frankly, richie can’t go to sleep without his eddie either.

daily reminder day 244: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now he’s snug as a bug in a rug in on this much needed rainy day, fluffy blankets pulled to his chin and richie’s big arms wrapped around him and holding him close.

daily reminder day 245: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now he and richie are getting high. richie shotguns the smoke into eddie’s mouth and eddie closes the gap between them with a smiley kiss.

daily reminder day 246: eddie k-tozier is alive and well but don’t talk to him right now he’s like really really busy on this work assignment right now (he and richie are making out in his office because richie came to visit him for lunch).

daily reminder day 247: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now he’s sipping a glass of wine as he watches richie clean their pool and pretending like he’s not checking his husband out (as if richie doesn’t already know, eddie is anything but subtle).

daily reminder day 230: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now he’s hugging richie from behind as richie makes lunch for them. he’s feeling a bit more clingy today, as if that’s anything new, and he’s been hanging off his husband all day practically like a koala bear. there was a time many years ago when he wouldn’t allow himself to be this clingy with richie. would push him off because of the many voices in his head telling him it was wrong, his mothers voice being the loudest. he used to have to find excuses to allow himself to be so close to him, hence that stupid 10 minute rule he made up for the hammock that he only really took seriously when richie was the one using the hanging seat, because he knew richie would never follow it. but eddie doesn’t have to do that anymore, because he and richie are married and in love. and if there’s ever a bad voice floating around in his head about how he shouldn’t let him so close, all richie has to do is smile at him or kiss him to make all that melt away. so, yeah, eddie stays clinging to his loves back because he loves him so much and never wants a moment away from him. and it’s then that richie turns in his arms with a smile, places his large hands on the sides of eddie’s face, and leans down to kiss his forehead. and richie doesn’t have to say the words, the kiss to eddie’s forehead says “i love you” itself. and eddie says it back by turning his head to kiss the palm of one of richie’s hands. and then they eat lunch, sitting close at their dining table, talking about any and everything.

daily reminder day 231: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now hes biting richie on the arm, richie laughing and trying to shake him off. eddie just loves his husband okay, and sometimes words just dont cut it. so he bites, as one does of course. it’s completely normal!

daily reminder day 232: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now he’s doing a little dancy dance in the kitchen because he’s finally about to have lunch.

daily reminder day 235: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now he and richie are having a cookout for them and a few neighbors plus bev and ben who came out to visit. richie is at the grill and hes wearing his signature “kiss the chef!” apron. and because nothing has changed from when they first started dating YEARS ago, richie teases him into giving him a kiss, to which eddie does “reluctantly” after the playful bickering.

daily reminder day 222: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now he’s making up his and richie’s bed. there’s a method to his madness, the bed always has to be made a particular way which is why eddie’s always the one to do it. richie is quick to throw the blankets and pillows on the bed where they’re still very much wrinkled and out of place; it drives eddie INSANE. he’s almost done with it now, propping and fluffing up the pillows against their headboard neatly. that is until suddenly he’s being picked up from behind with strong arms and the smell of Old Spice with a mix of musk filling his senses, yelping and kicking wildly in the process. eddie knows who it is and knows what’s about to happen next, and because of that he begins yelling “richie no! the bed!! i just made the be- !!!” but before he can get it all out, richie is already tossing eddie onto the bed with a laugh, the force of him hitting the bed wrinkling their comforter and making the pillows scatter and fall to the floor. and before eddie can bitch and complain, richie climbs on the bed and kisses eddie a little silly. they stay like that for a while, languidly kissing and eddie letting himself get distracted. but richie’s not off the hook yet, eddie’s gonna let him HAVE IT when he finally remembers how they ended up kissing on the bed in the first place.

daily reminder day 182: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and right now he and richie are getting matching tattoos. he knows what you’re all thinking, getting matching tattoos with your partner is stupid and even he thinks so. but here’s the thing, he and richie have been together since high school, and even with that have they ever really been /just/ friends? like they’ve been holding hands since they were 5, they got fake married at 7, have been sharing a bed since they were 13. they’ve been through hell and back and have loved each other since before they even knew what love was. they’re in their 40’s now, and have only broken up once in their 20’s for like 2 days because they couldn’t stand being away from each other. so, yeah, this is the only exception to getting matching tattoos. richie is the love of his life and vice versa and they both know that no matter what they’re it for each other. and once they’re done getting their tattoos, they smile and kiss each other, chaste but full of love.
